The Bifrost was full of colored bright lights, taking them through realms at a breakneck speed. The speed and the brightness of the Bifrost was starting to make Synthia nauseous. Thankfully, they soon landed roughly on Jotunheim, Synthia immediately started taking deep breaths, forcing the contents of her stomach back down her throat, and finally looked around Jotunheim.
The land looked immensely cold, deprived of the warm sun, hidden in dark, the vast stretch of land seemingly dead and devoid of life. The icy winds had them all clutching at their cloaks in order to keep themselves warm, and several stalagmites broke down and crumbled to earth, from the force of the winds.
"We shouldn't be here." Hogunn muttered ominously.
"Let's move." Thor declared.
They all started moving, looking around for any threat, though there seemed to be no one on this realm. Though Synthia had a feeling that they were being watched and often saw a red eye, in the shadows.
"this realm is dying." Synthia though pitingly, seeing the rocks crumble from snow and icy winds making it impossible for any life other than frost giants to occur.
"Where are they?" Sif asked warily looking around.
"Hiding, that's what cowards always do." Thor scoffed, looking around as well.
"You've come a long way to die Asgardians." Laufey, the king of the frost giants remarked.
He was sitting on a throne made of ice and stone, he was blue and had marking on his body as described in the scriptures of frost giants. His blood red eyes, cold and cruel, looking at the group with an expression of sadistic glee in them. He looked as if he had expected them to come here demanding answers.
"I am Thor Odinson." Thor said bravely.
"We know who you are." Laufey said dismissively, lounging on his throne, appearing relaxed.
"How did your people get into Asgard?" Thor angrily demanded.
"This oaf knows nothing about politics, that's for sure and it's going to get us killed." Synthia thought anxiously.
Laufey looked at his sides, deep in thought and mysteriously said, "The house of Odin is full of traitors."
"So someone did help the frost giants, enter the kingdom." Synthia muttered under her breath.
"DO NOT DISHONOR MY FATHER'S NAME WITH YOUR LIES!" Thor shouted.
Laufey angrily stood up, towering several feet over them and said, "Your father is a murderer and a thief, and why have come here? to make peace? you long for battle, you crave it, you're nothing but a boy trying to prove himself a man." He mocked Thor in the end, trying to rouse a reaction from him.
"He is trying to make us make the first move, that way the peace treaty shall be broken and Asgard will be the one breaking it." Synthia realized.
"This boy is growing tired of your mockery." Thor declared, his grip on his hammer tightening.
Frost giants had started surrounding them with icy spears forming from their hands, Synthia unsheathed her sword and gripped it tightly in her hands, eyes looking warily around realizing they were severely outnumbered.
As if Loki had realized the same thing as Synthia, he rushed to Thor's side and murmured silently in his ear, "Thor stop and think, look around you we are outnumbered." He tried convincing Thor.
"Know your place brother." Thor angrily said without looking around, his eyes fixed on Laufey.
"You know not what your actions unleash, I do, go now while I still allow it." Laufey warned them, coming to stand right infront of Thor, towering over him, his eyes full of mockery.
