Synthia Addams being half-Asgardian half-human as well as an abandoned child, very well understood the concept of prejudice and discrimination. With her brown skin, shoulder-length wavy chestnut hair, curvy bodice, and dark-brown eyes, she certainly looked like a beauty as per earth's standards but when living amongst literal aesir gods and goddesses, her beauty went unnoticed.
Abandoned from a very young age by her unknown parents, the child led a hard life wandering streets and begging for a livelihood.
One day wandering the marketplace, Queen Frigga saw a little girl of seven with matted hair, and hungry eyes, covered in rags for clothes asking the baker for some bread. The haughty-looking shopkeeper instead shooed the tramp away with a wave of his hand, though the girl stayed rooted to the spot, determined on having something to fill her stomach.
Taking pity on the poor girl, the kind queen sent the einherjar to fetch her and take her straight to the palace. Initially scared, the girl went along with the guards and was astonished to see the golden palace so up close for the first time, the palace seemed to glow from the sunlight and towered as high as her neck could tilt up to. The guards took her straight to the queen's quarters where the queen herself sat, awaiting the little girl. The girl was astonished to see such a beautiful woman dressed in the richest of fabrics look at her with the kindest expression on her face. Recognizing her as the all-mother, Synthia quickly fell into a wobbly curtsy and started stuttering incomprehensible words.
The queen knelt in front of the girl and shushed her gently by petting her hair, and asked, "what's your name, little girl? and what is a child like you doing all alone on the streets without any parents? where are they, hmm? are you lost?"
The girl shyly replied, "m-my name is Synthia, your majesty, I have always lived on the streets as far as I could remember I don't know where my parents are, all I remember is my life on the streets." Her little face went a little red at the end.
The queen thought for a while gazing at her face, looking for any hint of a lie, and on finding none once again broke out into a smile and reassuringly said, "well not to worry dearheart. I will help you find your parents and till then you shall live with us, I have two sons Thor and Loki to keep you company. Come, let's take you to the all-father he would know what to do, but first let's make you presentable, come."
The queen led her to the bathroom which was bigger than any public bathhouse Synthia had ever seen. The walls were hand-painted to look like the scenery of a green rainforest with a painting of the bright blue sky for the ceiling, the room was spacious and had several cabinets and ornate taps with a giant bathtub in the middle. The bathtub was enormous and looked like it could fit twelve people easily in it and had steps on the sides for the person to sit on and relax, to synthia this room looked like it was made for the comfort and relaxation of the person while bathing, whereas, the tubs of the bath-houses were cramped and looked like they were carrying all kinds of diseases known to the aesir.
The queen first told her to remove all the rags and then go sit in the tub. Synthia did as told and sat naked in the tub feeling very queer as if she didn't belong there at all, but she ignored the feeling and instead admired the scenery. Soon she felt droplets of warm water cascade down her head, it was a very pleasant feeling and she felt like melting into the hand that was lightly scratching her scalp rubbing out the knots from her hair, and lathering it up with scented foam. then Frigga took a washcloth and proceeded to scrub her until her arms and legs were clean of all the dirt that was now going down the drain, allowing the girl to do the rest, she went out to fetch her some towels and undergarments.
----------------------------------------------------------
When the girl was done Frigga returned with a maid who helped the girl out of the tub and wrapped her in what was the softest towel Synthia had ever felt. when dried she was helped into a beautiful light blue gown and some matching sandals which were a relief to walk in, Frigga took her outside and made her sit on the huge dresser and combed her hair into an elegant braid, Synthia truly felt like a princess while looking at herself in the mirror!
When done, Frigga kindly said, "you look absolutely beautiful ,sweetheart. Now we must go to the all-father and ask him for a solution." Synthia's heart started thudding in anticipation, and multiple thoughts started running in her head.
"will they be happy to see me? will they say they had missed me? would they even like me? what if I'm not good enough for them or what if the all-father cannot find them? what if my parents reject to take me in would the all father sends me to jail? would the all-mother hate me then?"
with all these thoughts plaguing the young one's mind she didn't even realize when they had reached in front of a huge golden doors with heavy solid gold knobs. with one last assuring look towards the girl, Frigga gestured the Einherjar standing on either side of the gate to open them.
"well here we go." The girl thought anxiously while gripping Frigga's hand tightly, as the doors of the throne room were opened.
