Despite Synthia's reassurances, the sickness did not cease, along with that, she started feeling exhausted very soon and had weird food cravings. Loki was steadily growing concerned and took care of her whenever he was free. He often told Synthia to go and see a healer for it, but Synthia was convinced that it was just a bug and would pass soon.

"I want you to go to the healer tomorrow, or so help me Norns, Synthia I'm going to drag you to the infirmary!" He said one afternoon.

"Don't shout at me Loki Odinson! I know it is a bug and will pass soon, don't worry, love. I am fine, and I can't just sit and rest all day, I have to help your mother in preparing for Thor's coronation-"She said.

"-Oh that oaf can become the heir, under a rainy field and I wouldn't give a heed, your health is my utmost concern and I can't see you getting sick everyday, you ought to go to the healer. stop this madness." Loki desperately pleaded.

Seeing his desperation, Synthia's eyes softened. She beckoned him to her and took him in her arms, tucking his face in the crook of her neck, her hand playing with his hair.

"alright, if this ails you so much, I shall go to the healer tomorrow. but right now, I must go to your mother." she soothingly assured.

Loki nodded and watched her leave, his heart still worried for her.

"She has run herself ragged for preparing that oath's coronation." Loki thought bitterly, "but what if there isn't a coronation."

Loki smiled mischievously, a plan forming in his mind.

--------------------------------------------

Synthia and Frigga had gone to a royal bakery to order a cake for the coronation day. Though, Frigga had other motives for bringing them here.

"dear, you look so tired, are you alright?" Frigga asked concerned.

"I am quite alright mother, it's just the stress, you need not worry." Synthia assured.

"Oh dear, I should after all, I have to take care of my grandchild." Frigga said happily.

Synthia choked on her cake, as she heard what Frigga said. "Grandchild?!?!" She gasped.

"Why yes, I am a healer and my instincts tell me that you're pregnant with a child." Frigga answered.

"Forgive me mother, but I don't think I am pregnant." she said nervously, her cheeks a bright shade of red.

"well then I suppose, you haven't had any nausea or tired feet or obsessive food cravings?" Frigga inquired.

Synthia went speechless, her face turning pale. Come to think of it, she did have all those symptoms, and it also started just days after she and Loki had.....

"Oh god I am pregnant?!?! It can't be no, but mother is right. Oh norns how will Loki react to it, I mean he did want children but right now?!?!?" She thought anxiously, her face growing pale every second.

Frigga seeing that she was going to faint any second, rushed to comfort her. "There, there dear, it's quite alright, shh take deep breaths for me darling. I am sure Loki would love to be a father." Frigga assured.

Synthia nodded silently, trying to stop her stomach from spewing out all its contents. They soon chose a cake and departed to organize other preparations.

She told Melody about her pregnancy that had sent her into a squealing frenzy causing them both to get weird looks from the passers-by.

After the initial shock had worn off, a feeling of elation filled Synthia's heart as she pressed her hands to her stomach.
