-Chapter 58-
                              Niall
"Niall!" I heard Louis yell as he entered the waiting room. I looked up, tears clouding my view. I could just about make out the shape of Louis coming to a halt in front of me, with Harry, Liam, Zayn, and Paul standing behind him. "I got a call from the hospital, told us to get down here as soon as possible. What happened? Where is Cora?" Louis said, looking down at me.
"The speed limit was 25 miles per hour, but there was a high number of cars going above that." I stopped and blinked away the tears. "The chances of surviving if you get hit by a car at 25 miles per hour are far higher than if you get hit by a car at 35 miles per hour." I recited.
"Niall? What happened?" Liam asked this time, placing his hand on my shoulder. "Where is Cora?" He asked.
"It came out of nowhere." I muttered, turning around to look at Liam.
"What did?" Zayn asked this time.
"A car." I said. This time I looked directly at Harry because he was the only one who really needed to hear what I was about to say. "A car came out of nowhere and hit her." I paused. "One minute she was telling me how much she loved me and the next I'm holding her unconscious and bleeding body waiting for an ambulance." I mumbled looking down. "It came out of nowhere."
                              ---
It had been a couple of hours since Cora had gone into surgery, four to be exact, and I still hadn't heard any news. At the moment, all I knew was that she was in a critical situation. A nurse had come out around four hours and got me to fill about a form, and it wasn't until then that I realized how little I knew about Cora's medical history. When she gets out of this, which she will do, and we move into our house together then I will pester her until she tells me everything I could ever need to know about her past.
"Niall." Louis said softly, poking my side gently. "The doctor is here, he wants to speak to you." I nodded stiffly, and slowly got out of the uncomfortable plastic chairs.
My back was sore from slouching for the past couple of hours and my neck felt like it was about to break, but I didn't mind. I bet it is nothing compared to Cora's pain.
I slowly walked back Zayn and Louis, who were whispering furiously between themselves. As I passed them, they stopped and followed as I made my way over to the doctor, Harry and Liam. It seems that Harry was interrogating the doctor who was trying his best to tell him to wait. Once he saw me a look of relief splashed over his face.
"Mr Horan." He started. "I am sorry to have kept you waiting so long, but I had a good reason. Miss Russell almost left us during the surgery but the other surgeon and I managed to pull her back and she is currently stable." He stated and I felt my heart drop. She had almost died. My love had almost died and I didn't even get to say goodbye.
"Is she going to get better?" I asked softly, mentally crossing my fingers and sending up a pray to God.
"It is too early to say, she is in recovery and will be put in a private room so you will be able to go visit her, but I did have an urgent question I need to ask you." The doctor said gravely.
"Yes of course!" I almost yelled, but managed to hold myself back and stay calm.
"Privately..." The doctor trailed off as she met the gazes of Harry, Louis, Liam and Zayn.
"Anything you want to ask me you can ask in front of them." I said firmly and the doctor sighed a little before nodding stiffly.
"Your girlfriend had immense internal bleeding in her stomach, and as we were trying to stop the bleeding I noticed something. It seems that Miss Russell has Asherman's Syndrome, but when I asked a nurse to check her medical history there was nothing about a D&C."
