-Chapter 8-

The aggravating buzzing noise would not go away.

I groggily got up and trudged my way through my flat until I reached the intercom where I pressed the button. "Hello?" I asked.

"Did I wake you up?" Niall's voice laughed from the other side of the intercom.

"Ugh yeah." I nervously scratched my head.

"Sorry. Mind if I come up?" He asked, and I pressed the button that opens the door downstairs.

A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. "Did you sleep well?" Niall asked as in entered my house. He slipped his shoes off and kissed me on the cheek.

"I guess." I said, forcing a smile.

"Sorry to wake you. Considering it is twelve o'clock I thought you would already be up." He said, and I shrugged. "Shit, I'm sorry to disturb you. Go back to sleep, and I'll come back later." He said once he saw that I was a bit grumpy.

"No need. I'm up now, and I should probably thank you for waking me up at this time." I laughed, running a hand through my knotty hair.

"Sure?" He asked uncertainly.

"One hundred percent. So what's up?" I asked, leading him into the kitchen. Niall sat down on the stools in front of the counter and I made coffee.

"I have the afternoon off and I thought you might be up for a bit of car shopping?" Niall proposed.

"Really?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Yeah." He shrugged.

"I like that idea." I declared and turned around to face him. "Today?"

"It's a bit late for a late breakfast, but I was thinking we could go and shop and then get a late lunch?" Niall proposed and I found myself agreeing.

"Sounds good to me." I said putting the coffee onto brew. "I'll go get dressed and then we can go? I won't be more than twenty minutes, promise." I laughed as I walked into my room.

"I'll wait here." Niall said.

"Help yourself to food." I shouted as I reached my room.

A few minutes later, and I was freshly dressed in a pair of boyfriend blue jeans and a big brown jumper. On my feet I had a pair of brown Oxfords. I also had a small brown shoulder bag so I could put my phone, my keys and check book in it and a pair of sunglasses to help hide my identity if needed.

I exited my room and found Niall waiting for me. He had put my coffee into a flask. "I have muffins in the car." He declared and winked at me, obviously knowing my love for all kinds of muffins.

We both left the building and reached Niall's car which was parked in the car park next to my building complex. We both got in and Niall started the engine. He handed me a muffin and I grinned, biting into it. Lemon and poppy seeds.

Niall started telling me what car I should buy and what sort of engine I needed... and a bunch of other things that I clearly knew nothing about.

"What sort of budget do you have?" Niall asked out of the blue. I blinked and tried to remember how much Gracie had put into my big purchase account.

"A million,I think..." I said rather uncertain. Niall looked at me with a look that could only mean 'what-the-fuck'. "Two..." I started, but his looks only grew more unreadable, so I quickly changed it again. "Three million." I finished, pretty sure that this was the right budget to have for a car, and even if it wasn't, I wasn't going to spend more than three million pounds on a car.
