-Chapter 2-
Days passed and I didn't hear anything from Niall. Did I mind? A bit, but I had a feeling that this was part of a flirting game I had entered with him. If not, well I've been so busy with unpacking and helping Gracie sort out my schedule and other work related things, that I haven't really had time to let it get to me.
Even though coming back from tour is tricky because you have to get yourself back into a 'normal' routine and so on, it is also amazing because I get to see my friends and family again. After spending four months on the road, even spending days where I do absolutely nothing but listen to Netflix and clean my house are great, because it is a day where you don't travel, where you're not constantly surrounded by people and being told what to do.
Another great thing about coming back from tour is apart from work schedules and other small things, nothing is really expected of me. However, I knew it was about to change in the next few days. My record label need to make money off of me, and I need to write a new album, do new music videos, interviews, charity events, big events, find new sponsors and many more things along the same tune. So for the moment I am very happy to lounge around in bed all day or spend the day cleaning my house, because I know soon enough, I might not have time to even do any of that.
You can probably guess what I was doing as my phone started to ring next to me. I peered down at the screen and saw that it was Gracie who was calling me.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Cora, we've got some good news!" Gracie called down the phone in an excited voice.
"Really, what?" I asked, feeling a bit excited. I unplugged by phone from its charger and rolled around to the other side of my bed.
"Well... The record label decided to get you back to work faster than planned, but-"
I interrupted her. "Gracie how is that good news?" I groaned.
"Well if you had just let me finish then you would have found out." She snapped and I groaned. "They have teamed you up with a band and you will be co-writing two songs for them, and they will co-write two songs for your new album." Gracie explained.
"I am still waiting for the good news." I sighed.
"Guess who they have teamed you up with?" She practically screamed.
"Who?" I demanded, starting to once again feel a little excited.
"One Direction!" She squealed and I felt my insides turn to mush.
"Oh my God! Oh my God! This is fucking awesome! Oh my God, sometimes I bloody love my job!" I screeched, sitting up in bed.
You may, or may not have guessed, but Gracie is a huge fan of One Direction. She has all their songs on her phone and whenever she thinks no one is listening, she puts them on at full volume and sings to them with her hairbrush as a microphone. Not that I am any better...
"Yeah! And this gets even better!" Gracie declared.
"Really?" I laughed, not quite believing my luck.
"Yep. You've been booked in for today at two." She declared and I felt my excitement die down.
"What, now?" I asked in pure shock, once I had looked at the time and saw it was almost one.
"Yeah. Both managements wanted both of you to get straight to work as both of you have kind of slipped of the news a bit." Gracie explained.
I saw red.
