-Chapter 10-

After a two and a half hours' worth of driving from central London to not so central Sutton Coldfield, I finally pulled up in front of my childhood home.

I had planned to leave my house earlier, only after last night's events, I found myself wanting to stay in bed just a little bit longer.

I parked my car just outside my parents' house and the first thing my eyes fell on was my elder brother's and sister's cars, which were parked in the driveway next to my parent's old car. My childhood house was located in a private neighbourhood.

I smiled and smoothed out my clothes, (a pair of light blue jeans, a white vest top and a pair of Adidas trainers). I took my suitcase from my boot and threw my handbag over my shoulder, then I locked the car doors.

I slowly made my way up to the old, white front door, but before I could even lift my finger to ring the golden doorbell, the door was swung open to reveal my elder sister, Elizabeth.

"About time you showed your lazy arse around here." She grinned as she pulled me in for a bone crushing hug.

Elizabeth, or Lizzie, is my parent's second child and is twenty-three years old. She is studying to be a lawyer. She is currently engaged to her boyfriend of five years, Darren. Lizzie takes after my dad with long brown hair, green eyes, and tanned skin. She isn't fat, but she isn't skinny either. Overall, being so close in age caused us to be really close.

"Hello to you, too." I rolled my eyes as I pulled away from her.

Dragging my stuff on the floor, I entered the house. The smell of freshly baked bread -- Cheesy, I know, but my mum always made her own bread--invaded my nose.

"Well, isn't it Miss I've-Got-A-Record-Deal-Now-So-I'm-Going-To-Move-To-London." My elder brother, Jake, grinned as I entered the kitchen, which was attached to a little porch where the washing machine and tumble dry were kept.

Jake is the first child, he is twenty-five years old going on forty. My brother is a Genetic Counsellor and is currently dating a beautiful girl called Emily, but has yet to pop the question. Again, Jake is like our dad, with short brown hair and tanned skin, but he has blue eyes like my mum.

"Hello to you Mister I'm-So-Big-And-Posh-And-I'm-Going-To-Rub-It-In-Everyone's-Faces." I shot back at him. It was no secret that he had a lot of money.

"Why can't you just be normal?" My mum asked, taking a step over to me and pulling me in for a big, bone crushing, organ squeezing, blood stopping hug.

"Hi, mum." I sighed, happy to finally be in my mother's arms.

"Hello, baby girl. Now step inside and tell us about everything. Richard take Cora's bags to her room and Angie get downstairs right now to come greet your sister." Mum ordered stepping away from me.

My mother is a very elegant woman of fifty-one. She has bleached blond hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. She always wears coral lipstick, a small amount of eyeliner, and mascara. She is a full time school teacher and she has been married to my dad for thirty two years.

Dad walked in and gave me a quick hug. "It's nice to have you home again, poppet."

"Thanks, daddy."

"You're welcome. Now give me your bags." He ordered. I did, and he took it upstairs for me.

My father is the opposite of my mother; he has grey hair--which was once brown--, green eyes, and tanned skin. His forehead is covered in wrinkles, and he never leaves his fuzzy grey jumper. My dad is fifty-four and has been a surgeon for the past twenty years of his life.
