Chapter 11
My parents' house has five bedrooms, two of which are currently occupied, my parents' room and Angie's room. Lizzy and Darren have their own house across town,as do Emily and Jake, I had three rooms to choose from. I would of liked to have slept in my old room, but since Angie moved in there, I couldn't. So, I went for the next best one: Elizabeth's old room.
Growing up, I spent so much time in this room that it's like my second bedroom. You have to understand that growing up, Lizzy and I were really close. We never really fought, and if we did it never lasted long.
The oldest out of all of us is Jake, then Elizabeth, then myself and then Angie. That means that there is a nine year age gap between the oldest and the youngest. Even though there is quite a big age gap between Jake, Lizzy, I, and Angie, we are still really close and whengrowing up we always made sure she was included in everything we did. Apart from the drinking.
I find it hard to believe that Angie is the same age as I was when I started dating Bradley. Bradley. I haven't seen him in so long, not that I could face it if I did, but still... After seeing someone for four and a half years, three and a half of which you were dating, it's hard to completely get rid of someone.
There was a knock on the door, cutting me out of my thoughts.
"Yes?" I moaned, rolling over to face the door.
Angie walked in dressed in her school uniform and a bright smile on her face.
"Hey Cora. Sorry to bother you, but mum was wondering if you would mind driving me to school." She said nervously.
"Why can't she do it?" I asked, sitting up slightly.
"Because she and dad have already left for work." She admitted sheepishly.
"You've got to be freaking kidding me." I complained, sitting up completely now.
"Sorry." She shrugged.
"Great, well... What time do you have to be there?" I interrogated her.
"At five to nine."
"What time is it now?"
"Half eight."
"How long does it take to drive there?"
"Fifteen minutes." Angie smiled nervously.
"Jeez, thanks. Right... Have you eaten?" I asked, getting out of my warm, cosy bed.
"Yeah, I'm ready. I'll wait for you downstairs... And please hurry up or you will have to come and sign me in." Angie ordered before disappearing. So much for having a nice peaceful morning.
I walked over to my suitcase and pulled out the first pieces of clothing I could find which turned out to be a long sleeved, black t-shirt, a brown overall dress and a pair of black tights. I slipper on my trainers, even though it didn't go with my outfit, I could always change them later. I didn't bother with any makeup and instead I headed downstairs. I slipped on my coat and grabbed my phone and keys. Luckily, I still had the key to this house.
"You ready?" I asked Angie, who was sitting at the breakfast on her phone.
"Yep." She replied, popping the 'p'. She jumped off the stool and took hold of her rucksack by the handles. She then walked out of the front door, leaving me to follow. I locked the house before following Angie to my car.
