A/N: hi everyone, I would just like to say thank you for reading but I have a very important question to ask...

"Skeeerupupup." Daniel shouts as he does a little jog on the spot, scaring the living daylights out of Sophie who was away in a daydream next to him, making Lewis who was standing next to her laugh a little.

"I'm warming up." He defends as though it's obvious.

"You're warming up?" She double checks to which he nods his head in response. "To sit down for the next 30 minutes and be asked annoying questions?"

They were about to go in to the pre race press conference, where today Sophie was representing Williams, Danny was representing Renault, Lewis was there for Mercedes, Antonio for Alfa Romeo and Lando for McLaren.

"You never know when you need to make a quick run for it." He then jokingly runs at her but thanks to her driver quick reflexes she jumps to the side, accidentally knocking in to Lando, who thanks to his quick driver reflexes manages to catch her before she falls down.

"Thanks." She breathlessly speaks out as he pulls her to stand on her feet.

"I know it's hard to stay away from me but do you really need to knock me over?" He jokes before turning back to his conversation with Antonio.

"That's everyone ready for you all." One of the people in charge say. Because Sophie is furthest from the door she's the last person in the room, taking the empty seat next to Lando.

Sophie hated press conferences. To put it nicely they were really really boring. She would be stuck in an uncomfortable seat where she would end up getting pins and needles in her bum and her legs would go numb. It wasn't intellectually stimulating either as she would be asked maybe two questions throughout the whole duration, most which have already been pre rehearsed in media training, and then she just had to wait about twiddling her thumbs.

The first question of the day is fired at Antonio, relating to his scoring of points which had lead to a lock of his luscious hair bing chopped off whilst he was mid celebration. He seems to have taken it in good spirits but if someone had done that to Sophie she would be raging, especially because he takes such good care of his hair.

The second question is given to Daniel, asking him about what happened in Austria. Daniel, like the pro that he is, handled the question very diplomatically. However Sophie wasn't paying complete attention to him as she started to feel her attention drifting away.

Next the attention was turned to Lando. "Congratulations on your new Mclaren contract." The interviewer begins with. Sophie gives him a pat on the shoulder and a thumbs up which a couple of people chuckled at, but she didn't care because she was so proud of her friend for securing his seat in Formula 1, allowing him to continue his dream.

"Thank you" he awkwardly smiles at the interviewer.

"How do you think this will impact the team and what do you think you will be able to achieve?"

As much as Lando was one of Sophie's best friends, she really wasn't up for paying attention as her mind wandered to her unsettled anxiety over not yet having a seat for next year.

"Sophie, coming on to you." Lando lightly judges her to get her away from her daydream and to look a bit interested. "You and George both finished ahead of Magnussen in Austria, so it seems as though the car is improving. How confident are you of another strong showing this weekend?"

"Yeah I do see that we've had an improvement in the last race, and I think looking at Williams over the past year that it's definitely a step in the right direction. Hopefully we can keep improving on that not just for this upcoming race but in to the future as well." Sophie gives a short answer hoping that the reporter will just skip forward. She really didn't have the pleasantries in her to compliment Williams and the minor improvement in a singular race, when all they were doing was putting more knives in her back.
