"Why are you always here?" Max Fewtrell sighs, plopping down next to Sophie on the couch where she was currently sitting and scrolling through her phone.
"Because I can't get enough of you, oh max you're the one that I love, every day spent without you is like million burns from the sun." She replies in a monotone voice whilst scrolling through her phone.
"Alright Shakespeare." He rolls his eyes. "But seriously, why are you here?"
"Because I could be in the flat with George for the rest of the summer break who is currently spending time with his girlfriend Seychelles, or I could take a couple of days away from the third wheeling and stay here with you and Lando." She smiles awkwardly at Max.
"And you chose to do so here?"
"Do you have a problem with it?" She challenges him. She had never had an issue with Max before, in fact the pair normally get along great, so she has now idea where his sudden reluctanceness against her presence had stemmed from.
"I don't have a problem with it, I just don't think you know what you're doing." He looks away awkwardly, leaving Sophie even more confused.
"You've known me for years Max, you should know by now that I never have a clue about what I'm doing."
He just laughs and shakes his head.
"Oh my god guys have you seen this!" Lando sprints in to the room, causing the pair to look at him with concern. "Redbull have demoted Pierre to Toro Rosso and promoted Alex to Redbull!"
"What the fuck!" Sophie stands up shocked. "When did this happen?"
"Like 15 minutes ago." He comes over between the two with his phone up to show them the post.
"Holy shit." Max mumbles.
"This is great for Alex but it's going to be a lot of pressure." Sophie voiced her thoughts. "Especially being a rookie and it being from mid season."
"I really hope he'll do well." Lando shrugs.
"Have you called him yet?" Sophie asks.
"I'll FaceTime him just now" Lando sits down on the couch, pulling up the app as Sophie and Max follow suit. The ringtone goes for about 4 rings before Alex answers.
"Hey Lando." Alex smiles down the camera.
"Congratulations mate!" Lando smiles back at him.
"Congratulations Albono!" Sophie pushes her face in to the camera.
"Congrats Alex!" Max shouts in as well.
"Thanks guys." Alex laughs with his cheeks starting to blush.
"So how does it feel to be a redbull driver?" Lando smirks at him.
"I don't know yet." He laughs. "I'm heading to Milton Keynes just now to get a seat fit and to see the steering wheel." He explains.
"Oh that'll be fun, do you know when you get to try out the sim?" Sophie wonders.
"I'm hoping I'll get a chance to either today or tomorrow, I'm just not sure how much I'll get to practise in it because of summer break." He looks a bit nervous.
"I'm sure it'll all work out." Lando smiles. "If anyone can do it, it's you mate."
"Thanks guys, I've got to go but I'll speak with you later." Alex smiles whilst waving.
"Bye!" They all shout before Alex hangs up the call.
"I'm so proud of him." Lando wipes his eye like a proud mother. "They just grow up so fast." Making the other two chuckle.
