"Calm down." Sophie whispers to herself as she looks at her appearance for the umpteenth time in the mirror, allowing her nerves to kick in and force her in to over thinking. "It's just time with Charles, you've done this before you can do it again." She begins to wipe her clammy hands on her red maxi skirt.
Charles had told her to dress casually, hoping to bring as much normalacy to the date as he could, already knowing that Sophie would be overthinking. What didn't help with her overthinking however, was that he had refrained from telling her details about the date, such as where they were going or what they were doing, which the uncertainty wasn't sitting well with the Scot.
So with all of the not knowing, she had decided upon a red floral maxi skirt, a white T-shirt which was tucked in at the waistband, white trainers, and black sunglasses, leaving the outfit without a jacket due to the hot Milan sun.
Finally plucking up the courage she decided to leave the comfort space of Pierre's guest bedroom and enter the living room where both of the boys had been sitting on the couch, smiling and talking away to each other. Charles was the first one to notice her, with his eyes going wide and a smile passing over his face, making Sophie bow her head to hide her growing blush.
"You look amazing." Charles says breathlessly, providing Sophie the confidence to lift her head and meet his glowing green eyes.
Pierre looks at Charles before looking at Sophie and letting out a wolf whistle jokingly. "My my mon ami." Before turning to look at Charles with his cheeky smirk. "Vous êtes un homme chanceux." [You are a lucky man] Sending him a wink.
"Je sais." Charles smiles before standing up and walking towards a lightly smiling self conscious Sophie.
"Vous êtes absolument magnifique." He smiles whilst looking in to her eyes and making her heart swoon.
[You are absolutely gorgeous]
Sophie never took herself to be one of those girls that would fall weak at the knees from the simple glance of a man - but for Charles she did effortlessly, even in his simple black jeans and loose white shirt.
"Tu es aussi très beau." She smiles, looking up at him as he gets closer.
[You are also very handsome.]
"Vous me faites tous les deux me sentir très seul, alors s'il vous plaît, allez déjà à votre rendez-vous." Pierre shouts from the couch, now settling down and pulling out his phone.
[You both make me feel very lonely, so please go on your date already.]
"Are you ready to go?" Charles asks her as he picks up his keys.
"Yeah, whenever you're ready." She smiles, waving goodbye to Pierre.
"Enjoy." Pierre shouts, waving back at the pair as they make their way out of the door, closing it softly behind them before walking towards the lift.
"So can you tell me what we're doing now." She smiles up to the Monegasque who had still not uttered a peep about what they would be doing for their date.
"Hmmm, I guess I could." He smirks down. "Or I could leave it all to be a surprise."
The elevator doors open and the pair step in, pressing to go down to the garage.
"Or you could just surprise me by telling me now." She cheekily tries to get the information out of him. Sophie loved surprises - knowing that someone had thought about what she might like filled her heart with joy - but she loved problem solving more, figuring out what the date could be. But Charles had planned the evening so perfectly that she hadn't even caught wind of what the night would entail, which filled her with joy but also bugged her.
"I will tell you a part of it." He sighs out jokingly, acting as though it was a hardship, but secretly enjoying the gleeful smile that followed on Sophie's face. "We will be driving." He left it at that.
