The Search For Sophia

Melina's pov

I woke up from a nightmare. It was about Sophia. She was a walker locked in a barn. I looked to my side to see Carl still awake, staring at the car roof.

"Hey." I whispered softly as to not startle him. "Hey." He whispered back.

"Can't sleep?" I asked and he nodded. "Same, I had a nightmare about Sophia." I said. He turned to face me.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked and I shook my head. He nodded letting me know he understood.

We spent the rest of the night cuddling and talking. I got up a little before everyone else and changed my outfit. ( Outfit on top)

I pulled my hair into a side braid and went to go get my dad and Rick. I wouldn't have to wake anyone because I know no one got any sleep last night.

We started walking through the woods looking for Sophia. Our group consisted of me, my dad, Rick, Carl, Shane, Lori, Carol, Glenn, Cash, Andrea, and Olivia.

We found a tent but Sophia wasn't there. I was about to say something when I heard church bells.

I looked to Rick to make sure I heard right, when he gave me a nod I nodded back letting him know I heard them too.

"Everyone listen, do you hear that?" Rick asked. Everyone said they heard it but didn't know from which direction.

I pin pointed the location and before anyone could say anything I started running in that direction.

"Sophia!" I yelled. If she wasn't at this church she would be around there because she would've heard the bells too.

As soon as I saw the church I ran to the doors and pushed them open. "Sophia!" I yelled to see if she was in there but all there were was three walkers.

I took my crossbow and shot all three of them in the head and let the tears roll down my cheeks.

I heard the rest of my group come in. I then heard the bells again but I knew it was an alarm that was timed.

We stayed there for about an hour before Shane and Rick had a plan. My dad would lead everyone back to the road while they went to go look for Sophia a little bit longer.

I turned to my dad. "Daddy can I go with Rick and Shane?" I asked. "Sure just make sure you and those two idiots stay alive." He said with a small grin.

I nodded and walked over to Rick and Shane until we heard Carl speak up. "I'm going too. Where Melina goes I follow, she my wife." He said I looked over to him and smile.

Lori mumbled something under her breath but I didn't care what she said. Rick tried to give her a gun which pissed off Andrea.

I just started walking in the direction we were going in. Carl came running up to me and took my hand.

Rick and Shane then joined us. We walked into the woods calling out to Sophia every once in awhile. But nothing.
