Melina's pov

Hershel ended up disappearing into town or something, Beth went into shock over her mother, Olivia won't come with in 10 feet of me, and I'm getting ready to go hunting with my dad. (Outfit on top)

I grab my crossbow and hunting knife and made my way to my dad's camp.

He walked out of his tent and saw me heading his way. "Hey, you ready?" He asked and I chuckled.

"Yeah, are you?" I asked in a teasing tone. He smiled and nodded. "Let's go then." He said walking towards the woods.

We were deep into the woods and had a couple of squirrels. We were on our way back when I started getting curious.

"Hey dad." I said. He hummed in acknowledgement. "What was mom like?" I asked.

He looked at me and smiled. "Well she was a lot like you when it came to personality wise." He started, I nodded letting him know to continue.

"She wouldn't take shit from anyone, not even Merle. She always thought that she needed to save everyone." He said letting out a sigh.

"What did she look like?" I asked. I had never seen my mother before. "She had super long black hair, and beautiful grey eyes." He said.

I smiled. "So I look more like you got it." I said and he laughed. "Well, you've always been a daddy's girl." He said.

He pulled me into a side hug. "Yeah, but that's because I have the best dad in the world." I said with a big smile.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." He said with a small grin. I mean thinking about it I probably do have the best dad.

My dad taught me everything, from how to survive all the way to leadership. Not many dad's can raise a girl by themselves.

I mean you have the different body part, and the fact that the girl will eventually get her period, which my dad handled like champ.

So I do think I have the best dad. But other than that I think even though the world is shit right now, I have the best people in my life.

We finally made it back to the farm with our squirrels only to notice Rick and Glenn were gone.

Turns out they went to go find Hershel. I set my dead squirrels down by the camp and went to go look for Carl.

I found him hanging out with Cash, Dave, and Rose by a tree close to the house. I walked over and sat beside Carl and Cash.

"How was your hunt?" Carl asked and I smiled. "It was great, my dad told me a little about my mom." I said.

As we were talking I noticed Beth was talking to Olivia. She kept looking over here at us. I just ignored her and rested my head on Carl's shoulder.
