Melina's pov
As soon as I heard Amy scream, I jumped up and turn around to see a walker biting her neck.
I ran to my tent and got my crossbow and shot a walker that came out of the woods.
But apparently there was a herd. I could hear Carl screaming my name. I started running to the RV where everyone was.
I took out my pistol and shooting every walker in my way. I start to look around for Carl to see if he was ok.
I saw him by Lori and made my way other there. Carl spotted me and ran over to me.
I hand him my gun and start taking out walkers with my crossbow.
It was about 30 minutes or so before the last walker dropped dead.
"Melina!" I heard my dad. I turned around to see him rushing over to me. I run up to him throwing my arms around him.
"Hey it's ok." He said hugging me back as I cried. No matter how old I get I know I'll always be a daddy's girl.
Carl came over and wrapped his arms around me. I looked up at him to see him on the brink of tears.
I let go of my dad and hugged him. Then I started having a coughing fit. Carl took me to my tent and we laid down.
I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
The next morning I woke up to Carl right next to me. His arms around my waist, and his face was in my neck.
I just laid there playing with his hair until my dad came in. "Hey, how're you holding up?" He asked in a whisper not to wake up Carl.
"As good as I could be with everything that's happened." I said and he nodded in understanding.
He sat down on his sleeping bag. "What are we going to do now?" I asked, but before he could answer I started coughing again.
"Well you are going to rest, the rest of us will burry or burn the dead." He said with a stern voice.
I let out a sigh and nodded know that he has already made up his mind.
I did decide to get up and change my clothes so I asked my dad to step out and change. (Outfit on top)
When I was through changing I let my dad know it was ok to come in and laid back down next to Carl who instantly cuddled me again.
Me and my dad talked a little bit before he left, I look at Carl to see him looking back at me with those beautiful blue eyes.
"Hey, didn't know you were awake." I said softly. I brush some of his hair out of his face and kissed his forehead.
He smiled and just pulled me closer to him. "I love you." He said in his hot morning voice.
"I love you too." I said. Everything was peaceful, then I started coughing. He sat up pulling me to sit up with him.
It was getting harder to breathe and I started panicking. Carl saw this and started walking me through some breathing exercises.
"Breathe in...and out." He instructed while doing it with me. I started to breathe fine again.
I rested my head on his shoulder as he ran his fingers through my really long hair.
I started to fall asleep when my dad walked in. I looked up at him. "Is everything ok?" I asked.
He let out a sigh. "Where leaving tomorrow to go to the CDC and Jim was bit." He explained.
I nodded. My dad came over and bent down and kissed my forehead.
"Get some sleep. We have a long road ahead of us and your on the brink of death, which I hate." He said.
"We'll do it at the CDC." I said looking at Carl to make sure that was ok. He nodded and smiled.
"But if you get any worse then this before we get there we're doing. Understand." Carl said with a stern voice that I found hot.
I nodded and crawled in to his lap, laid my head on his shoulder and started to fall asleep with his arms around me.
I feel safe. I feel like I'm finally home. But one things missing. My Uncle Merle. I have my dad, Carl, Cash, Rose, Sophia, Carol, Dale, Glenn, T-Dog, and Rick. They are what make me feel this way.
Lori, Olivia, and Andrea not so much. Lori hates me and the feelings mutual, Olivia's bitch ass betrayed me and she lost all her for it, and Andrea is just a bitch to everyone.
But this group is my family and I will do any thing for my family.
