Leaving The Farm

Melina's pov

It's been about a week and everything has went to shit.

They had planned to kill Randal, but didn't and tried driving him 18 miles out.

Turns out the bitch knows Maggie and they brought him back and locked him in the barn. They decided to drive him even further out but when they went to the barn to go get him, he was gone and so was Shane.

Shane came running up to us saying Randal escaped and had his gun. I find that to be a load of bullshit.

My dad, Glenn, Rick, and Shane went to go "look" for him. We heard a gun shot go off, Carl went missing, and then walkers started overrunning the farm.

That leads us to where we are now. I'm currently on my motorcycle taking down as many walkers as I can.

I was looking for my husband too, but all I could see was walkers and the barn was on fire.

I went back to the house to tell the others that we needed to leave. There were too many walkers and we were low on ammo.

When I got there only Hershel was there and he was shooting walkers with a shotgun.

"Hershel, we have to go!" I yelled over all the noise that was going on.

"You go on, I'm not leaving my farm!" He yelled back. I knew it would be pointless for me to argue with him so I did what he said and got off the farm.

I started making my way down the road to the highway where the traffic jam was. I had a feeling it was the right way to go.

I was just hoping that everyone made it out of there alive. That thought made me realize that I didn't know where my dad, Cash, Rick, Carl, or any of the others were at.

On the way to the highway I found everyone heading in the same direction.

We finally made it to the highway and I saw Carl, Rick, and Hershel. I turned my bike off and ran to Carl, tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Carl!" I yelled tackling him him in a hug. After a few seconds I let go. "You scared the living hell out of us when we couldn't find you." I said.

He gave me a kiss and pulled away to look me in the eyes. "I would never leave either of you, not intentionally." He said making me smile.

I then heard Cash call out my name. I looked in the direction I heard him only to be engulfed in a hug.

I hugged back knowing it was Cash. I smiled as we pulled away. I then went over to my dad who was talking to Rick and gave them both a hug.

"Now what?" I asked. Rick looked like he was in thought. Eventually he thought it would be best to move on.

I have a feeling that we'll find somewhere to stay for awhile. Only I knew that we would never be truly safe. Not yet at least.

An: so I have decided I would try to post at least once a week. This was just like a filler chapter, so sorry that it's short, and thank you for reading and supporting me. 😊😘
