Melina's pov
It's been a few hours since everything went down. I was walking hand in hand with Carl who was next to Cash. Cash was talking to Rose and Sophia.
"So, are you mad at me for letting everything slip?" I asked Carl looking up at him.
Keep in mind, I'm only 4'9 while Carl's 5'7. I'm fucking short compared to him.
He looked down at me with a smile. "No, please it was kinda hot the way you punched Olivia." He said.
I let out a little chuckle. "No, it wasn't the punch, I'm a fucking Dixon. We're naturally born hot." I said with a smirk.
He let out a small laugh. I gave his hand a little squeeze. I was about to say something when another coughing attack happened.
It was a lot worse today. I was coughing so hard that when I looked at my hands they were covered.
But this time it was with blood clots but my blood wasn't red, it was blue. Carl kneeled down beside me.
"Are you ok?" He asked and I nodded even though I felt like shit. He picked me up bridal style.
He knew I didn't want to go back, so he continued walking.
"We need to tie the knot soon or your going to get worse." He said and I nodded in agreement.
As we were walking, and by we I mean Sophia, Cash, Rose, and Carl, we heard a noise.
"What was that?" Sophia asked a little spooked. We all looked around looking for what caused the noise.
We shrugged it off and kept on walking. Then out of no where we stumbled on to a deer being teared apart by walkers.
Sophia let out a scream causing a walker to look over in our direction.
Sophia started running back to camp with Rose and Cash chasing after her. "Set me down." I said.
Carl knew not to argue with me so he set me down and I took out my pocket knife and stabbed the walker in the head.
Just then Rick, Shane, Dale, Amy, and Andrea ran out of the woods to where we were.
They started to beat up the walker until Dale finally took his axe and chopped off it's head.
I then noticed a couple of arrows sticking out of the deer and instantly knew it was my dad's.
The next thing I know he's walking up too us complaining how he's been tracking this deer for miles.
I started coughing again, spitting out blood. When I was through I could feel Carl hand on my shoulder.
My dad came rushing over. "Are you alright?" He asked taking my face into his hands.
I nodded obviously lying. "Bull shit Melina, I raised you. It's gotten worse, hasn't it." He said obviously knowing me like the back of his hand.
"Dad I'm fine. I just need some sleep." I said not wanting him to worry about me.
"Melina Rita Savannah Dixon, do not lie to me. It's gotten to the point your spitting out blood." My dad said in a stern voice.
"I just don't want Carl to rush into anything." I said quietly looking down.
Carl came over and lifted my chin. "Hey, I've already told you, this is what I want. I've thought long and hard about it. I want to be with you, forever." He said.
I could feel a tear running down my cheek. He wiped it away and kissed my forehead.
He then picked me up bridal style again and we all began heading back to camp.
I could tell that my energy was depleting and fast so I laid my head on his shoulder and let sleep consume me.
