you were a good girl for everyone to see, but behind closed doors you were different, especially with him. no one knew about you two, because, well, that would ruin your good girl reputation. you stayed focused on your work at the infirmary, and studied up on medical books you had gotten from an old abandoned library every single day to try and become the best doctor/surgeon in alexandria. no silly business.

   you and carl started talking one night when you were out on a stroll. it was an extremely busy day at the infirmary that day and you just wanted to take a breather. you decided to sit on a blanket by the water in the center of town, and look up at the stars. what you didn't know was that carl was leaning up against a tree behind you, watching you.

flashback:
carl was always interested in you, he thought you were just perfect. everything about you drew him in, he would often watch you from afar, like tonight. he saw you leave the infirmary in a huff, so he decided to see what was up. he watched you lay back and intertwine your fingers over your stomach, he thought you were adorable.

   "rough night?" he asked you this with a soft voice. you jumped, not expecting him to be there. you turned around and sat up, clutching your chest with your left hand.
   "oh god, you scared me." you said this as you gulped and moved a piece of hair out of your face.

  "sorry, you just looked stressed, i wanted to see how you were doing." he began to walk closer to you, his hands stuffed in his pockets.

   "yeah, im okay. it was just a busy day is all." you looked up at him, he was standing at the edge of your blanket, which was pretty small, so he was quite close to you.

carls pov:

  she looked up at me with those eyes of hers, they're always sparkling and bright. her on her knees staring up to me is a sight that i knew i would be seeing more of, i planned to make her mine a long time ago, i just had to wait for the right time, and that time is now. i wanted her to be mine the second i saw her walk into these walls, she was alone, she wore black clothing and tactical gear. she was strong and experienced, but once she got here she softened up completely. under this "good girl" facade, i know that same rough, powerful girl is there.
she intrigued me, i wanted to bring out that fire i knew she had.

regular pov:
    "well, do you wanna talk about it?" carl asked as he tucked some hair behind his ear.

"it's really okay, i'm just stressed out." you looked down and played with your fingers in your lap. he was sort of making you nervous, in a good way.

"do you need some help with stress relief?" he asked this to you and lowered to his knees right in front of you. your eyes flicked up to him and followed his motions.

"i can help you with that." he leaned in and whispered this to you. you knew what he was talking about, but you didn't know what to do, you sort of froze up. your lips were slightly parted and your eyes scanned his face for any breaks in character, but there weren't any. you wanted whatever he was talking about but you didn't know how to say it.

"you just have to say yes." he said this as if he read your mind. your breathing was shaky.

"you know that people would talk if anything were to happen between us." you said this with your eyes glancing to and from his lips and eye.
