summary: olivia takes y/n and enid in and they basically live as sisters. enid and carl are dating but something happens and carls attention gets shifted to y/n's. also i literally didn't know what to name this chapter so. sue me🙄🙄🙄

you sat in your room, minding your own business, which is something you often do. well, it's basically something you do just about every day. i mean, you lived with olivia, and she's not exactly a chatty kathy, or even here most of the time unless she's sleeping or watching judith, so you were alone in the house most of the time. well, besides enid. a lot of people considered you two sisters just because you both were orphaned and stayed with olivia.

it sort of bothered you because you would just get grouped in wherever she would be since you weren't always the center of attention, and weren't always looking for so much trouble and attention. ahem, like some people. (enid) you sat in your room, laying on your stomach and reading a book on your bed. you were quite invested in it, so you never heard the front door open and close. you also never heard enid's door almost immediately next to yours open and close either.

you swung your legs back and forth as you were so invested in the storyline of your book. but, you were sort of a hopeless romantic, and the book was very romantic and borderline smut. you only learned about sex from the books you read.

carl had walked in the house, seeing it mostly empty. he saw your shoes by the door, but he didn't see enid's.

"enid?" carl said enid's name loudly as he walked through the house. she would usually greet him on the porch, and she wasn't there today.

"you upstairs?" he asked this as he walked up the stairs, hoping he would see her there, as he was starting to get worried, he hadn't seen her anywhere all day.

"you in here?" he asked quietly as he opened the door to her bedroom. she wasn't in there.

"huh." carl thought to himself for a moment before walking to your bedroom door, he raised his hand to tap on the door lightly, but instead he saw that your door was semi-cracked. for whatever reason, he peeked into your room and saw you. you were wearing a skirt and a tight t shirt with your white socks. he admired your plump thighs and the way your hair cascaded down your back. (me literally having hair above my shoulders 🤭) he could tell you were reading something, he noticed you were quite the quiet bookworm, he liked that about you.

he took a deep breath in, he wasn't supposed to be admiring his girlfriends (basically) sister. he huffed and tapped on your door, pushing it open before you really even said anything. you turned around and looked at him over your shoulder.

"oh, hey, carl." you said this, gently surprised that you didn't hear him come into the house.

"hey, uh, have you seen enid today?" carl asked you this with a bit of concern in his voice, most of his concern faded though, when he saw you.

"i heard her leave the house pretty early, why? she's still not back?" you questioned, swinging your legs over the side of your bed and sitting up. carl was almost certain he caught a glimpse of your underwear as you did so. he cleared his mind of dirty thoughts and continued with the conversation.

"oh, i wonder where she went. i haven't seen her around town all day." he leaned up against your door frame as he said this.

   "i don't know. she probably jumped the wall again." you said this with a roll of your eyes and and a toss of your hair over your shoulder.

   "don't you guys always meet with each other at 2:00? she knows you would be here, right?" you scrunched your eyebrows together.

   "yeah, she would. well, i guess i'll just wait around and see if she comes back soon. do you mind if i.. wait in here? so im not alone?" carl asked this with a small smile on his face.
