Jake wasn't sensitive at all as he poured more and more alcohol into the gray-haired man's drink.... Like, really not at all.

Heeseung was standing there at a damn angle and I was hidden a little further back behind a group. Jake approached me again as he tossed the all the evidence that he had bottled Heeseung into the trash can.

"So what good is that going to do?" "If he has a crush on you, he'll tell me to my face. He's so full, all he can do is tell the truth. I'm sure his brain can't lie in this state." I nodded indecisively and the Spaniard grabbed my hand. Gently, he pulled me behind him as we headed toward Heeseung and an overwhelmed Jay.

"Well, Heeseung? Wow, you really hit it!" came euphorically from Jake, who hid me slightly behind him. "Jakee. What are you doing here? Don't you have to help at home? You're already a rich ass..."

I could tell the Spaniard was slightly irritated, but he kept in mind why we were actually here. So he just ignored the drunk's would-be attack and looked down at me for a moment. "Heard Estela was here too." Playfully disinterested, Jake spoke this information, making sure Heeseung heard it too.

"Why are you telling me this? I know she's into me, but I don't really care." I swallowed and clasped the Spaniard's hand a little harder. Jake noticed my tension and swallowed as well, figuring how it tore at my heart.

"Well. I just thought you might want to know because I saw her leave with a guy." Jake tried to pull even clearer words out of the drunk and managed to do so. "Let her. Maybe I'll try her later. Shouldn't be hard."

Having heard and seen enough, I pulled on the Spaniard's hand, who eyed me anxiously as I headed for the exit. The first thing I did outside was put on my jacket, and afterward I turned to Jake, who was trying to read my behavior.

"You okay?" I lowered my gaze and folded my arms across my chest. "Hurt me a little more than I planned, apparently." Sighing, I brushed my hair back and then looked up into Jake's eyes. The latter merely looked at me.

"I don't want to be here anymore," I muttered then stepped aside as a few people left the house. The Spaniard nodded, but then disappeared into the house for a moment. Confused and puzzled, I followed him with my gaze, but then realized he was getting his jacket from the coat rack.

Coming back, he put it on with a simple motion and then stopped right in front of me. "Where do you want to go?" I shrugged my shoulders and looked up at the dark sky. "I really just want to get home..." Jake understood and together we walked to his car.

I really didn't understand myself at all. I had known that Heeseung just wanted to play with me, but now that I was quite clear about it, even the last spark of hope in me went out. It hurt...

I was clear that I no longer felt any sympathy for my former best friend, but still, right at that moment, I felt the tingling in my whole body. My feelings... They had exploded and I didn't know what to even feel anymore.

I was cold and just wanted to fall onto the sofa or into bed at home. Since I had been silent the whole ride and really hadn't lifted my eyes once because I was thinking about my stupidity the whole time,  Jake got off with me and walked me to the front door.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I shook my head in the form of a yes and then unlocked the front door. "Just tired, I guess." Since I couldn't remember what was going on myself, I couldn't tell him if everything was okay.

I stepped into the hallway, slipped out of my boots, was automatically a few inches shorter, and then turned back to Jake, who couldn't tell if I was even telling him the truth. He just looked at me and then leaned in the doorway. "You don't really look okay."

I shook my head. "It's nothing that's going to bother me tomorrow," I reassured him, looking up into his face. Without saying anything, he spread his arms very little and I put my arms around him, burying my face in his black shirt and when I closed my eyes, I felt that warm tingling in my stomach again.

Slowly I let go of the Spaniard and took a tiny step back. I put my head a little bit in my neck and looked up into his eyes, which were still looking at me quite worriedly.

"Do you want me to stay here a little longer?" I shook my head refusingly and rubbed my nose once. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about it." He nodded hesitantly, but then kept his hazel eyes locked on mine.

He was reassuring me. I wasn't really anxious on the outside, but inside I was a bit agitated, which I associated with having my heart broken for the hundredth time. However, I was sure that tomorrow the world would look better.

My eyes left his and I silently examined his birthmarks. I looked at each one and got stuck on the one that was above his lip. "I've never seen this on anyone before," I whispered, and Jake didn't understand what I was talking about.

Too tired to continue speaking, I lifted my hand and stroked the mark softly with my thumb. The Spaniard's lips moved with my thumb and then returned to their natural position.

Jake was still leaning in the door frame and I lifted my gaze again when he made no sound. What I saw was a silent Jake looking intently down at me. His eyes swung from my light brown eyes to my lips and back again.

Unconsciously, my hands clasped his and I swallowed hard. Slowly, a curl fell into his forehead, showing that he had leaned forward slightly.

What happened next was something neither of us had expected...

The Spaniard pulled me closer to him, which could hardly be considered pulling, as I took a step forward on my own. His big hands, which held mine, he brought up to his own neck and there he let go of mine again.

Instinctively, my small hands wrapped around his neck and determinedly, I shifted my weight onto my tiptoes to finally meet them. His lips...

As my lips encircled his, I felt Jake wrap his hands around my body and come towards me even more. An indescribable warmth ran through me and I held my breath as our lips moved rhythmically against each other.

Unconsciously, we both took steps into the hallway and a hand moved away from my waist as Jake pulled the front door closed behind him. Suddenly full of energy, I brushed my own jacket off my arms and did the same to the Spaniard, who then let his hands slowly wander lower.
