Cws: anxiety

Bakugo shut his bedroom door. He was alone now, and nobody was going to bother him - witness his silly behaviour. He grabbed his favourite dinosaur covered blanket, wrestled off his binder, and flopped onto his bed. He put in his earbuds, and lay on his stomach with his laptop open in front of him.
This childishness had been a constant thing throughout their life. They had the tendency to act younger than their age when things stressed them out to a large enough degree. Katsuki couldn't bear to think about its effects on their future dream career as a hero. He'd always planned to just sort of… Get over it. How? Well, he hadn't thought that part out just yet.

They find a YouTube compilation of all of Allmight's most courageous moments, and rest their head on their arms, comfort blanket nestled against their chest. Would he ever be able to live up to his idle's legacy? The fear of failure - of not being enough - has been eating away at him for years. Bakugo absentmindedly brought a corner of the blanket up to his lips. Allmight might be the coolest guy ever. Izuku has no chance of being that awesome. Katsuki bites on the fabric. The anxiety and the stress starts to dissipate as he sleepily chews on the corner of his blanket.
They've owned it for years ever since they were a little kid. In fact, they couldn't sleep without it till they were ten. It was smaller in comparison to him now. He knew of the painful truth - that he's outgrowing it. Nowadays, it can barely wrap around his waist and meet. Yet, he continues to keep it.

Allmight helps a child to their sobbing mother, all with his gigantic smile. Katsuki watches through half closed eyes. He's going to do that some day. He's going to be the best hero ever…
Then his phone buzzes, snapping him out of his settling sleepiness. Their hand scrambles away from the blanket, and they switch on their phone. It's… It's Kiri. Bakugo's heart flutters, and they smile into their blanket. Eijirou's thinking of him.

Redriot<3: you might not be awake but it's okay if you want to talk to me about things

Redriot<3: you were just acting a little different earlier

Redriot<3: anyway love you :)

Katsuki focuses on the word "little". Maybe Eijirou already caught on. Bakugo taps clumsily at his screen.

Lordofchaos: just needded to be buy myself

Lordofchaos: somethingb hapened

Kirishima's response was almost immediate. It made Katsuki nervous. Would he be mad? Big Katsuki didn't want to talk about this type of thing but he wasn't big Katsuki right now, and making the "right" decision was scarily hard.

Redriot<3: wdym?? Baby are you okay???

Redriot<3: do you want me to come to your room?

Bakugo buried his face in his blanket. Eijirou had never called them that. Ever. It was sweet, but Katsuki couldn't bear the feeling that they might not be doing the best thing.

Lordofchaos: mm no

Redriot<3: are you sure? I don't mind!

Lordofchaos: no you going to be madd

Redriot<3: why would I be mad?

Redriot<3: because I probably won't be

Bakugo chewed on their blanket, and hurriedly switched off their phone, throwing it in some wild direction. The self-conscious worry mounted, and Katsuki began to panic. Eijirou would make fun of him. Eijirou would tell everyone. Eijirou would force him to act like this all of the time by teasing him, and endorsing flashbacks. Eijirou couldn't know. The phone buzzed multiple times from somewhere in the room, but Bakugo covered their ears and desperately ignored it. He shouldn't have even replied to those messages.
