Chapter 36 - Mantu's Resolve

A few hours before

"I am so sorry di...I don't have any other choice", said Amaya as she caressed unconscious Rachita and softly hid her under the bed. Amaya quickly picked up the dress and went into her sister's room. Piya saw her bui and was about to go behind her when she saw Smokie barking. "Smokie what are you doing here.", said Piya as she looked at an unconscious Rachita with a note beside her body. Piya screamed as she ran out of the room and Karan caught her. "Baby...you were screaming. What happened!?", said Karan as he hugged her daughter. Piya was shivering with fear. "Rachi...bui...Rachi bui...", stammered Piya as Karan picked her up in the arms and went inside. "What happened... Pi..", said Karan as he stopped where he was. Rachita was lying down unconscious with a note. He quickly noticed that she is breathing normally, so she was safe. Being a lawyer he acted calmly and picked up the note. The note said- "I'm so sorry di, your Amaya." Karan knew there is something fishy as Mantu called him and told him everything that he witnessed.

Karan called Mantu and said, "Mantu come to Mathur haveli with Rama right now. Rachi di is unconscious. And don't tell Amaya about this." Mantu nodded and reached there with Rama after 15 mins. Jazz was there too. Rachita was in her senses and drinking water as she was trying herself to solve this messed up puzzle. She was in tears thinking that Amaya was deceiving her. Rama reached there and hugged Rachita. "How are you Rachita ji?", asked Rama. "Rama we don't have time for this. She is absolutely fit and fine. Amaya just gave a very light dose of chloroform.", said Karan and Rama stood up. Mantu and Rama both said in unison, "AMAYA!!" "Yes Amaya and we have to act very fast and I mean it Mantu. I know that someone is forcing Amaya to do this. Tell me did you hear anything before picking up chaubeyji from the Gupta house. Anything. You observed. You thought is weird.", said Karan. Mantu tried recapping everything he saw or heard and he suddenly said, "Yes, Sumitra aunty came from the same direction just a minute away. And when I reached there Amaya was giving Chaubeyji a promise.."

"Okay..anything more..", said Karan. "Yess! Yess! I installed CCTV cameras everywhere around the houses, I mean both these house where ever the main locker was in both of these houses as main functions were happening. I and Rama both have an access to watch on our phones. I have Mathur haveli's and Rama has his house's. And I guess I installed one in that room as well.", said Mantu. "That's amazing Mantu.", said Karan as he ordered Rama to play the footage, 30 mins prior to when Amaya came and took chaubeyji from there. Mantu knew the time and they saw everything.

Rachita was devastated and so does Rama, Mantu and Karan. "Di...you got to be strong. See Amaya loves you so much that she was doing this for you. You shouldn't be affected by this because... because you know dad never differentiated between you and Amaya and me.", said Jazz as she quickly hugged her sister. Karan too hugged her sister as Rachita cried. She took a pause and looked at Rama who was stunned. "Will you marry me Rama, even after knowing this?", asked Rachita. Rama looked at Mantu and Mantu nodded in assurance. "Yes, Rachitaji there is no doubt about it. I love you for you not for your blood. Rishi uncle said you are his daughter. Amaya is doing this for her sister. Do I need anymore proof to agree that you were, are and will always be the part of Mathur family.", said Rama as he held her hand.

Rachita smiled faintly as she said, "Yeah, I am the luckiest daughter and sister." "Di...no wonder how you all three are the strongest", said Mantu as he held Rachita's hand. "Mantu, Amaya is giving up on you, for me. She told me she loves you most in the world, just after our... our dad. But today for me she is about to do this. We need to stop her. Right now.", said Rachita as she stood up but Karan made her sit back. "Di...we can't do that, it's too late. And we need to see a conversation that Amaya and Sumitra had because Mantu took 15 mins to come here from the hospital and Piya saw her 25 to 30 minutes back. Which means she was missing for an hour in which she surely met her...", said Karan and he paused. "I saw Amaya here 1 and half hour back and Rama tell me when did your mom left for Mathur haveli." "Around an hour back.", said Rama. "Good. Mantu play footage of entrance and trace where Sumitra went first.", said Karan.

Mantu nodded as he opened the app and traced Sumitra. Luckily they had a conversation in store room where Amaya only asked Mantu to install the camera. When Mantu asked her why, she told him that this room had their locker in which house paper's were present. They watched everything and the puzzle was solved. Sumitra was the villian and she is trying to make Amaya a villian. Mantu was devastated knowing that Amaya is about to marry Rama, his best friend. "Can you tell me what is happening, Karan?", asked Jazz. Karan took a deep breath as he said, " Yes I will. The case is solved. From somewhere Sumitra auntie has got to know about Rachita's truth. And it's true because Chaubeyji was greatly affected by it. Probably he knew it before hand. Amaya overheard them and promised to save Rachita's respect. She gave the papers to them and is now getting married to Rama to fulfil their last condition. We need to stop Amaya as Rama loves Rachita and Amaya loves Mantu. But how?"

"Mantu, Amaya loves you?", asked Jazz and Mantu nodded. "I love her too Jazz.", said Mantu sitting in a freezes position. There was a pause. Mantu realised everything he was feeling. He was doing a huge mistake. He can't give up on Amaya. He can't fight with his fate anymore. His heart can't handle it. Amaya is his destiny and even if not, he was ready to make her his destiny. Even thinking of Amaya as Rama's wife, broke his heart, killed him a 1000 times. Tears rushed in his eyes as he felt the pain he was giving to Amaya from the last 2 days. He was repenting. Rachita placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "Mantu, think. You need to earn your Amaya. You love her." Mantu nodded as he suddenly typed on his phone.
