Asteria's POV

I looked him in the eyes, he was gazing at me again after Thea had left.

Speaking of which, I had no idea why she had went away. She was telling me about her interests when she noticed Demi conversing with another female.

Her emotions went from happy to hurt in a matter of seconds.

I'm curious whether she has feelings for my brother.....

When I heard Aleksander's voice, I was still pondering.

"Hey, are you alright?", he inquired.

"Yeah", I replied with a little smile.

"You look beautiful tonight, Angel", he added in sultry voice, and I blushed once more.

"Th-thank you", I said, looking down.

"You don't say much, do you?", he inquired.

"No, it's just that everything is new to me, so I need some time to adjust", I explained, looking at my surroundings

"Don't worry, you'll get used to it because this is how your life will be from now on", he continued as I noticed Thea approaching us.

"Are you okay?", I inquired as soon as she approached me, and Demi followed.

"Yes, I am now", she told me, smiling.

"Princess, it's time to cut the cake", Demi remarked, and I agreed.

Everyone crowded around the large cake. Pàpà sliced the cake and offered the first piece to me, followed by Demi.

I too fed Pàpà and Demi. It was now time for a dance, and Pàpà cordially invited me to join him. I danced with Pàpà first, then with Demi. While Demi was whirling me, I noticed Aleksander approaching us.

"Can I take your sister to a dance?", he asked Demi, who agreed.

Demi told him, "just a dance, nothing else", to which Aleksander merely nodded.

He maintained one hand on my waist as the other joined my other hand. We began dancing to the rhythm of the song. I looked into his hazel eyes.

Beautiful.....

"What are you staring at, Angel?", He asked, amused.

"Your eyes", I replied.

"What about my eyes?", he inquired.

"They're so gorgeous", I said, and he grinned.

"Thank you very much, Angel. However, I believe you should thank my mother because I inherited these from her", he explained.

"Of course", I answered, laughing.

"I can tell you want to ask something, so go ahead", he said as he observed my face expressions.

He was correct, of course.

"Um, why are these girls staring at me strangely", I wondered, because they've been staring at me since I started dancing with Aleksander, making me feel nervous.

"Because you, Angel, are far more beautiful than they are. That is why they are only jealous of your attractiveness", he added.

But they're more attractive than me, why are they envious of me? I wanted to ask, but I didn't.

Soon after the dance ended, I dashed over to the large cake and cut a large chunk of it. I started eating it, and it tasted delicious.

"Are you having fun, Iris?", pàpà inquired.

"I am now", I grinned as I looked at the cake.

"You can have as much as you want", pàpà said, patting my head.

We all sat down for supper after I finished eating the cake. There were so many dishes that I couldn't decide which to try first, but Demi came to my rescue and offered me some dishes that he said I would enjoy.

My stomach was full by the time I finished my final piece of meal. And now I was fatigued, terribly tired, and my feet hurt from the heels.

Everyone had left. Pàpà and Theíos Stavros had gone to pàpà's study to talk about something, and Thea and Theía Ambrosia had also departed. I couldn't locate Demi anywhere. I'm not sure where he went.

With a big sigh, I bid farewell to Aleksander for the night, who told me that Demi had some important work to do, which is why he went.

I'm upset with him. Let him come, I will not speak to him.

I returned to my room and changed back into my nightgown. I closed my eyes and lay down on my bed. I was soon in my dreamland, but not before thinking of Aleksander's lovely eyes.

Next day

I had just gotten out of the shower and was on my way downstairs for breakfast. When I got downstairs, I saw pàpà and Mr Demi seated at the table.

I'm not speaking with him.

I sat calmly in my chair, wishing pàpà.

"Good morning, princess", Demi said softly, but I ignored him and began devouring my pancakes.

"Princess", he exclaimed halting his breakfast.

"Princess", he called again, but I was too busy stuffing my mouth with exquisite pancakes.

"Did I do something, princess?", he asked as he sat next me.

"Tell him I'm not talking to him, Pàpà. He went somewhere last night without informing me and didn't even say good night to me", I remarked, staring down at my plate.

"I'm so sorry, princess, but I had to leave because it was important work. I sincerely apologise", he stated.

"What's more important than your sister Demetrius?", pàpà asked and Demi turned to face him.

"Um, security, yes. It was related to your security, princess. I'm truly sorry, please forgive me", he said, holding his ears

He resembled an adorable rabbit......

"Should I forgive him, pàpà?", I inquired.

"I believe everyone, including him, deserves one chance", pàpà pondered.

Right!

"All right, you're pardoned. But don't do that again", I warned him.

"Thank you so much, princess", he sighed, hugging me.

"By the way, can I meet Thea?", I inquired, seeing the shift in his demeanour as he heard her name.

"Why do you want to meet her?", he inquired.

"Because she's my best friend", I explained.

"Fine, you may meet her. I'm working from home today, and Alek is coming over to discuss about a project. I can tell him to bring her with him", he said and I grinned.

"Thank you, Demi", I replied.

Thank God!!

I will not get bored......
