Asteria's POV

I opened my eyes feeling something heavy on me.

It was someone's bare back. I pushed the body to see it was Alek.

"Now, we have to talk about something very important", he said, staring at my lips and making me bite them.

"There isn't anything to say. I told you yesterday night. You are your own person. You are free to do whatever you desire. I don't care", I spoke as I rose from the comfy bed and began walking towards the restroom.

I pinned my hair back and washed my face, ignoring his body heat.

"Leave me alone, Alek", I said, wiping my face with a towel.

"No", he said as he spun me around to face him.

"I will not leave you until you listen to me. After that, you are free to leave. I will not stop you, but please at least listen", he spoke softly, caressing my face.

"Fine", I said.

"Did you see those photos of me with Sapphire?", he said, and I nodded.

He even remembers her name now.

"It's a long story, but I'll tell you in brief so as not to confuse you. Dad had a business arrangement with Mr. Kyros, who in turn asked that he will accept the contract only if I attended his birthday party in Italy with his daughter as my date. I was about to say no, but Dad reminded me that it was a crucial contract for our company, and I couldn't let it slip away. That's why I had to go with her as my date. And as for that kiss, believe me, I had no idea she would kiss me in front of the cameras. And I didn't want to cause a scene, so I didn't do anything. But, just so you know, the next day I took a long shower to remove all of her touches and her horrible scent from my body", he continued, making me giggle at the end.

"So you forgive me now?", he said, hoping.

"No", I said.

"Why?", he asked. His facing was expressing sadness.
