"Y/N, wake up! Please!" Perrito whined. You opened your eyes slowly. Kitty sighed. "Thank goodness! We thought we lost you there!" Puss said. "W-what happened?" you asked.
"We found you passed out. We thought you were dead." Perrito whimpered. You chuckled. "Death's not taking me yet." you joked. Puss's face went pale as your brows furrowed. You rubbed you injured thigh then looked down. You found that a black clothe was wrapped around it. "What?" Kitty asked. "I didn't bandage this." you answered. You hesitantly lowered your nose and sniffed it. It smelled pleasantly earthy with just a hint or wine.
"Oh well. What's the plan?" you quickly changed the subject. Puss nodded. "We need to find where the bears went with the map." he answered. "Ugh. Okay let's go." you nodded. You started walking as you looked for a tall tree to climb. "Um, I know this is maybe not the best time but..." you trailed off. Puss and Kitty turned their heads to you as you bit your lip. "Why did you save me?" you asked. Kitty and Puss grinned. "Why do you think we'd leave you behind. You're a very valuable asset to gaining the wish." Kitty said. Puss nodded. "Besides it would be a shame to leave a uh...damisela en apuros, If you know what I mean." he chuckled. You smiled, holding back the water-works.
You stopped at a huge pink tree as you looked at the cats. "You should get a good view from here." you said. Kitty climbed up the tree quickly, with Puss following. They were already halfway up the tree.
"How's it going? Can you see anything up there?" Perrito hollered. "Not yet, Perrito..." Puss answered before a tree limb cracked. He yelled. "Careful!" you warned. His claws dug into the bark as he held on tight. "You okay?" Kitty purred. "Sí, I am good." he said, putting a hand on his chin, regardless of his current situation.
"So good." he chuckled before a yelp escaped his falling form. Kitty's grabbed him before he had a chance to fall. She smirked. "If you wanted to hold my hand all you had to do was ask." she said. He chuckled awkwardly. You smiled. "What are they doing?" Perrito asked. Your shiny smiled went wider. "My girl's fixing some old wounds." you answered.
You turned around. "Here, Perro. let me show you a cool game." you urged, leaving the cats to their...conversation. Perrito's eyes followed you to another tree. You picked up a few sticks. You started stacking them. "What are you making?" he asked. You smiled. "This game is called Log Cabin. Whoever makes the tallest cabin without a stick falling wins." you explained waving a stick as you did so. Perrito's eyes followed the stick as his tail wagged viciously. You threw the stick as he took off.
Perrito brought the stick back. You threw it again. You laughter was short lived when two furry claws grabbed you, one over your mouth and one over you hips. You let out a silent scream as it dragged you into the shadows of the trees. It was obvious who grabbed you. The constant sniffing, the large grey paws, the earthy wine smell. Death had you in his grasp. "Sorry, you just seemed so calm. Had to drop in." his voice whispered, bearing a darkness. Your hands fruitlessly grabbed at his paws. Your heartbeat was to quick as you tried to pull him off.
You sunk you teeth into his furry paw. "Fácil, cariño!" he scolded, showing no sign of pain. Tears started flowing down you cheeks. "Shh, shh, shhhh...don't cry, amor." he warned. His nail tapped your cheek repeatedly. "You really are scared of me, hmm?" he asked, tilting his head in the process. You barely nodded. He grinned. "I do enjoy your intoxicating fear!" he purred. You tried to scream for Puss and Kitty.
He pinched the wound on your thigh in warning. "Now. I'm going to remove my hand from your lovely little mouth. And you're going to be quiet, otherwise there will be consequences you wish you hadn't pushed." he snarled. Your heart only sped up faster with every movement his body made. "So will you be quiet?" he asked, his cheeks rising into a small smile.
You nodded vigorously as his hand slowly pulled away from your mouth. He grunted happily as his paw went across your thigh. His thumb rubbing your wound. "You're healing well." he added, his jaw resting on your head. You were perplexed by his actions. His throat rumbled as he hummed his signature tune. "Just kill me already." you sobbed. His eyes looked down at your glass figure. "No, not yet. Not for a long time." he answered. "Please, let me go!" you hissed, your voice rising. He pinched your cheek. "Quiet! I want to spend some time with you." he said.
"Everything okay up there?" you heard Perrito yell. Death growled in your ear. His arms left your form. You gasped as you turned to face him. "I'll be seeing you soon. No need to worry~." he cooed. A blush lit up your tear-streaked face as you ran into the clearing. Perrito turned his head to you. "There you are!" he yipped, his paws resting on your knees. "I couldn't find you the- are you crying?" Perrito asked. "What? No!" you shook your head a you wiped the tears with your sleeve. Kitty slid down the tree. "We found the bears location." she answered. You nodded. "Let's go!" Puss said.
