(I'M BACK MY CHILDREN. I'm sorry I was gone so long. Enjoy my dumplings!)
"What did my mother mean?..." you asked. "About what?" the lobo said. "Before they left, mother said 'that the lobo did keep his promise'." you said, making eye contact with him. His red eyes didn't blink. He finally closed them slowly and sat down next to you, causing you to inch away a little. "Your mother was dying when you were born. I knew she didn't have much time left. I was just going to end it quickly...until she grabbed my paw." he said. You stared at him for quite some time.
He grinned. "She told me to take care of you." he answered.
Your eyes widened in shock. Your body felt weak, your face went ghastly pale. You stood up quickly. Your legs wobbled like noodles. You grasped the crystal for strength. "She told you..." you barely spoke before you started falling. A yelp escaped your mouth when a furry paw grasped you back. "She did. And I never would have listened to her. But seeing what you've grown up to be, made me change my mind." he said, his snout barely touching yours.
"What could you find in me, that's so good?" you squeaked, still fearful. He sniffed the air and let out a sigh. "I don't know. But I think it stands somewhere between that lovely smile of yours and those beautiful E/C eyes." he answered. A blush lit up your face. A smirk went across his muzzle as he let you go.
You yelped as you grasp for his cowl. "Desperate much?" he teased. "Why you...!" you steamed. He set you back up. His paws slowly walked to the darkness. "I was hoping your fear would last a bit longer." he cooed. His body retreated to the shadows. You slowly backed up before your body hit something hard.
You squeaked. He chuckled. "I was wrong. Still there." he said, squeezing your cheek gently. That's when the puzzle peices clicked, and the lightbulb suddenly flashed.
You could bring your parents back with the wish.
"I need to find Puss. I need to get that wish!" you mumbled. The wolf's smile widened. He knew what you wanted. "I'd start running if I were you!" he cautioned. He was right. Puss could use the wish any moment now and you wouldn't be there to stop him. Your feets started running on their own before a hand grabbed yours. "But don't think this will be the last time we see eachother." he warned, his eyes staring at you. You shivered a bit before you nodded. His grinned, letting your hand go.
You ran through the woods as a aurora lit up the sky. You followed the light to a cliffside where the star was planted. All in all, it was breathtaking. Your eyes spotted an orange silouhette running to the center of the star.
Your heart pumped ecstaticaly. You'd finnaly be able to see your parents again. You took a deep breath as you slid down the cliffhill.
