Location: Santa Coloma. (Puss and Kitty's wedding.)
You stepped back from Kitty as you took in her. She wore a beautiful white dress, with shoulder sleeves. It was embroidered with white flowers and leafy vines. Her veil was followed by a glittering silver tiara. You stabbed the needles into the cast of your arm. "It's beautiful, Y/N!" Kitty said. You waved your hand in dismiss. "You flatter me. Now give me a twirl, hermana!" you said. Her paws lifted her poofy dress as she gave a lovely twirl. You clapped your hands in delight.
"Perfecta. Lemme go check on Puss." you hollered. You went through a few rooms when you came to a curtain. You pulled it back to see Puss in a tuxedo. His fur was slicked back, missing his hat. But he was still accompanied by his boots, they were shined and clean. Perrito sat excitedly. You cooed happily. "Such'a handsome gato!" you squealed. He scratched the back of his neck.
He chuckled nervously. Your eyebrows narrowed. "I'm gonna mess it up, aren't I?" Puss asked. You took his face in your hands. You smiled brightly. "You've got this!" you encouraged. He smiled, yet his nervousness still remained.
(2 hours later)
You stood on the right of the alter. Puss twiddled his thumbs. A piano tune burst as everyone stood up. There was Kitty in all her loveliness, walking down the red carpet. Puss eyes widened as a blush lit up his face. Perrito had a basket wrung around his neck while he threw the flowers out with his nose. Kitty's eyes met Puss's as a smile lit her face. It was the happiest smile you've seen from her yet.
Kitty reached the end where Puss stood. His hands shakily grabbed her veil as he lifted from her head. She grasped his hands, as her thumb rubbed the top of his hand. The priest cleared his throat. "We are gathering here today..."
After what seemed like an eternity the priest finally said. "I pronounce you, husband and wife. Puedes besar a la novia." he finished. Kitty and Puss joined in a romantic kiss as everyone got up and clapped. Tears were in your eyes as you hugged Perrito. You wish you could have a husband.
After the ceremony. The party began. There was lively music, drinks, dancing, and of course food.
You sat by the edge of the bar, drinking a glass of wine. You watched a Kitty and Puss danced their lives away. You sighed, what it must feel like to love.
A hand grasped your shoulder as you looked to the side. A very red faced, and horribly drunk man, was giving you a smirk. "Hey'a miss." he hiccupped. You rolled your eyes and put on a fake smile. "Hello, please get your hand off of me before I remove it for you." you said, sweetly. He hiccupped then grinned seductively. "I like fighters." he added. You shot a wide-eyed glare at him, as you sat up. "Who invited you here?" you barked. He grabbed your hand and tugged you back on the seat.
"Don't remember. But I remember seeing you at the altar." he purred. You groaned. "I'd rather dance with that flea-ridden bear, than with you." you gagged. His hand met your thigh. You shot your head back to him. "How about you talk to me?" he asked. His hand tugged you closer to him.
Suddenly, two hands grabbed his and tugged it off your person. Your eyes first met the hands. They were grey and furry. Your eyes widened. You looked up at the figure. It was Death. He was giving that man a very rageful glare. "I believe the lovely lady said she did not want your company." he answered to the drunkard. The man scoffed. "Go to hell, lobo." he laughed.
"Where do you think I come from?"
Death's voice made you jump, it was signifyingly darker. The man shot his head up. His body started to shake vigorously. "So, I suggest, if you don't want me to end your life here and now, leave." he growled. The man left quicker than a startled deer. You sighed quickly as you turned back on the stool, facing the table. The lobo sat down as his eyes never left you, they burned into the back of your head. "Did he hurt you?" Death asked quietly. You shook your head. There was a long silence. "Uh...Thank you." you answered to the wolf. A grin lit up his neutral expression. "You're welcome..." he purred.
More silence.
"But..."
You groaned. "I do require payment." he cooed. You looked to him. "Fine, name your price." you said, already busting out your wallet. His hands met yours as he made you close your wallet. "Who said it was in money?" the wolf cooed, clicking his tongue.
Your eyes widened as you looked at him. He held out a paw. "I want you...to dance...with me." he said, pausing. You looked like chicken without your head. You were confused, mind boggled even. "What?" you asked. He rolled his eyes and sighed heavily.
"Where would you be without me, amor?" he groaned, grabbing your hand and tugging you off the seat. "Wait! Wha-?" you squeaked. He took to graceful strides to the dance floor and spun you around. You frantically looked around, trying to make sure Puss or Kitty didn't see you. "Eyes on me. Don't worry about them!" Death grabbed you chin, forcing you to meet his eyes. You blushed madly as he grinned. His hand met you back as you squeaked. "Nice dress." he added.
"Thanks." you mumbled. He rubbed your cheek gently. A feeling fluttered in your stomach. You didn't know what it was, but you felt...good around Death. You don't know why?
