18 June 1996: Ministry Atrium.

Josette watched as the auror disapparated with Sirius. She watched James being taken away by the officers. She just watched and couldn't do anything. Harry lay on the floor, unconscious. Josette knew she had to look after him but she couldn't tear her eyes away from the empty space where Sirius stood a minute ago.

Her focus was snapped when the reporters and journalists came running into the room. Fudge took his leave, not yet ready to confront the press. Remus stepped forward, placing a hand on her shoulder, he said "We should get him to St. Mungo's."

Josette nodded, the pair picked up the boy, placing his hands around their shoulders. People were asking questions but Josette was wrapped up in her own mind to pay attention to any of them. They couldn't apparate from inside the Ministry and the people crowding over them were making it difficult to move. She was about to snap at them when a portal opened behind them and swallowed the three, while Dumbledore was left behind with the astonished press who bombarded him with more questions.

"You are welcome." Stephen said.

Josette rolled her eyes and found them standing in St. Mungo's. Of course, he knew where they wanted to go and that she used the time stone.

"I'll take it from here." Remus said, leaving Josette and Stephen alone so they could talk and took Harry with him to see the healers.

"So, you used it."

"I did. I can't thank you enough." Josette smiled, removing the stone from around her neck and holding it in her hands. "But it was selfish."

Stephen just shrugged, taking back the time stone from her extended hand. Taking back the responsibility he was given.

"Why do I feel keeping Sirius alive is necessary and that's why Ancient one said I would need the stone??" She asked, still shocked that she used the bloody time stone to revive her lover.

"Why do you need to find an alternate motive in everything??" He asked, a small smile visible on his lips.

"You can't trust the elders. Never trust the elders." She said. For him she meant the ancient one, but while saying those words she thought of Dumbledore. How Voldemort said he knew everything and he just used her. Obviously, she still doesn't believe him, but can't dismiss such a big accusation. She has to talk to the older wizard. "Sirius needing to be alive must really be important for me to use the time stone otherwise she would've never allowed me to, but why?? Is he going to be needed for something more important?? Sacrificing his life for someone more important?? Responsible for someone's death? Or-"

"Stop rambling." He interrupted her with a laugh "You are overthinking. Just be happy that everything worked out quite fine."

"I guess." She mumbled, still not believing him.
