17: Mall Date Shenanigans

"Where do you wanna go first Mika?"

"Let's just head to H&M first, okay?"

"Of course babe."

We went to a plethora of stores.

Starting with H&M, then heading to Bath and Body Works and last for me, FYE.

"Mikasa, do you like this group?" Eren pointed to a K-pop album that read 'BETWEEN- 1&2' by Twice.

"EREHHHH, how do you know me so well!!" I gave him a slight hug while picking up the album and heading to checkout. He was smiling more than usual while we were checking out.

"Eren, why are you smiling so much?" I asked him.

"I just like seeing you happy. You're too cute." I blushed hard when he said that to me.

We started walking out of the store... "You wanna go to the coffee shop around the corner? I remember you talking about it."

"Yes!! Thank you Mika-Mika!!" He got so excited, it made me happy to even see him happy.

We went into the coffee shop and sat down as the waiter came up to us.

"Hello! Is there anything I can get you started with?"

"Yes! Actually can we order food while you're here?" Eren started talking in a polite voice I barely get to hear.

He continued to talk, "Could I get a water and classic chicken sandwich?"

"Of course.. And you ma'am?"

"Could I have the same?"

"Yes... the flow in the shop it going pretty fast so your food should be done in only 10 minutes."

"Thank you!"

The waiter left and Eren started talking to me.

"Oh shit! It's Jean and Connie walking in! Duck."

We hid behind our menus as if we were in a movie. Jean and Connie got the same exact waiter as us. After the waiter took their order and left, Jean started talking.

"Connie, do you think that Mikasa actually likes me?" Do they really have to be talking about shit like this right now.

"Uh, yeah maybe? Just be careful... I feel like Eren likes her."

"Noooo, I talked to Eren before asking her out. He probably would have told me that he did."

What? When did this happen?

"Well what did he say?"

"He said and I quote, 'Hey kid, uh... do whatever you think is right? If you think that you need permission to ask me then I think you've gotten the answer to my question.'"

"Isn't that a polite way to say no?"

"No!! I think Eren supports it, it's just hard for him to let go of his best friend."

My face grew sad. I really did feel for Jean but... Eren is all I've been wanting.

Jean and Connie got their food BEFORE ME AND EREN!! They quickly ate then left.

"So, what was that about... Eren?"

He grabbed my hand from under the table and started talking. "Mikaaaa, I didn't want to seem suspicious about it. Im sorry.."

"Don't worry Ereh, I'm not actually mad.. I just don't know what to do."

"To be fair, me neither" We got the food and Eren ate faster by each bite.

"Mikasa, I got something for you." Huh? He pulls something out of his coach bag, revealing a denim looking purse.

"OMG EREN.." I hugged him and continued talking. "How did you know this is the one i've been wanting??!"

"I know everything about you, babe."

We both got a text from Armin in the groupchat reading, 'everyone meet up in the food court in about 5 minutes!'

Perfect timing.

"That's enough time for us to pay the check and leave." Speaking of, the waiter came with the check as Eren took out his card.

He payed for it and we gathered to the food court quickly. By the time we got there it was Armin, and Annie standing around for us. A few minutes later everyone else arrived.

Armin started talking to all of us, "We were thinking about getting Panda Express and then

dipping."

"Ah, I'm not really hungry." Me and Eren started talking at the same time. We started chuckling.

"Well.. I'm not going to force y'all to eat so..."

AT THE COTTAGE-

We finally went to the cottage and I had time to lay down for once. Everyone else went out into the living room talking to each other but my social battery was done.

I changed into my pajamas and layed down in my bed, my eyes closed for a while.

IN THE LIVING ROOM(EREN POV)-

"Hey Eren, I have a question." Jean started talking to me even though it was obvious that Annie and Sasha were eavesdropping in on us.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Well, I wanted to ask... when should I ask Mikasa on another date?"

No, not this... why does he keep asking me these kind of things?

"I don't really know– but Jean why do you keep asking me these questions?"

"Because I feel like you know Mikasa the most out of everyone." Thats... sweet?

"Well Jean I think that you should be honest and just ask Mikasa those questions." That was the first thing that came out of my mouth. I didn't know what to tell him, at all.

"Well Eren I was thinking that you could do me a favor..."

"What could that be?"

"Since you are definitely closer to Mikasa than me, could you be the one to ask if she would want a 2nd date with me?"

Wait this might be good for me. I can make up a plan with Mikasa on how we can stop this whole Jean nonsense.

"Yeah sure, why not."
