Sean: can't drop u home today

Sean: practice

If anyone saw me right now, I bet they can see flames of fury emanating from my ears.

I'm two seconds away from either crushing my phone or flinging it ten feet away.

Clam down. I take in a deep breath.

I'm in a horrible mood today.

Maddy bitch ruined my entire practice with her constant criticism and taunts. Even more, she told everyone 'Holly won't be our captain for long anyway. She's gonna lose the position by Monday. Why should we still listen to her?'

That caused a lot of commotion between my teammates. Some opposed, and some agreed. It took a long moment before I had everyone settled and promise them that I'm not losing my position.

I might have done some necessary threatening too.

It also doesn't help that I have to pull out a mirror and check my neck every hour to see if the concealer is still there, hiding my bruises or not. Sean went a little too far last night.

I look around at the school's parking lot. There seems to be no one here who can give me a ride. Dad is busy with his amazing, wonderful job. Riley already left.

I can walk home like I did last time but today I did some hard training and exercises. Not to mention, those hundreds of push-ups and crunches. My body is really sore with a few sporting bruises on my feet and other parts of my body.

A cheerleader needs to build strength and flexibility.

A sigh comes out of my mouth. Let's just bare the pain for one day then I'll ask dad to get me a driver or someone next time.

I take a step onto the road when the doors behind me push open.

For a split moment, I think it's Sean. Maybe his practice got cancelled or he realized what a horrible friend he would be if he left me to walk home all alone.

But when I turn around it was not Sean. It's Castle.

He steps out of the school, wearing his hood over his head. The glasses I bought him last night remain on his face.

He looks up and notices me.

"What were you doing inside there so late?" I ask him.

"Nothing." He says, brushing past me and walking ahead without another look in my direction

"You know nothing never means nothing." I follow him.

"Don't you have to be home and squeal at yourself in the mirror?"
