𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐗:
"why are you always wearing gloves?"
Kim Chae-Yeong let out a deep sigh while plopping down in her chair. This was probably the most emotional and sincere case she had ever been part of.
Lee Young-Chun – a war veteran.
The entire organization gave their all to make the old man's passing be worthy of a hero. And it was. It was rare for the Director to be a part of the escorting, but it wasn't nonexistent.
And it was also rare for Chae-Yeong to be emotional during these moments, but sometimes it happened.
Still feeling the rush of emotions, the woman teleported to her apartment to change into something more comfortable. She stood in front of the mirror and wiped her face free of makeup. Chae-Yeong didn't particularly like it, however, a little bit never hurt anybody. Just so she would look more presentable.
She then freed her hair from the tight updo, letting her brown hair fall free down her back.
Chae-Yeong had a suspicion that she won't be getting any sleep anyway, therefore she teleported back to her office and looked for something that could occupy her mind for the rest of the night.
This is how Kim Chae-Yeong basically spent her nights. Burying her nose in innumerable documents, reports, and whatever else she could get her hands on. She was starting to fear that she might eventually run out of things to do. Though then she assured herself with the thought that this is Jumadeong, and in Jumadeong there is always something to do.
Especially, if you're the Director's assistant.

Unbeknownst to Chae-Yeong, there was another wandering soul in Jumadeong who wasn't particularly fond of the idea of sleep. Park Joong-Gil didn't know why he had so suddenly decided to visit the certain assistant. Maybe it was because of the escorting of Lee Young-Chun that was still present on his mind. This, after all, was a special case.
So many thoughts swarmed through the reaper's mind at that moment and before Joong- Gil had a chance to reconsider, he was standing before the familiar doors.
He softly knocked on the wood and after hearing a faint 'come in', walked into the office.
Joong-Gil's gaze immediately focused on the vacant chair in front of the desk before beginning to scan the room for the brunette. He found her standing before the bookshelf, leaning against the huge desk on his left. Her back was turned to him.
After hearing them coming in, Chae-Yeong glanced over her shoulder to see who's decided to pay her a visit.
Joong Gil had already concocted a few justifications for his presence in his head. He either had some questions or wanted to clarify a few points regarding the reports. It all was already planned out till the smallest detail, but as soon as his eyes fell on Chae-Yeong, all of those justifications vanished from his mind.
