"you look horrible."

"yeah well, you can blame your team manager for that."

Even though nothing much changed in Jumadeong these past few days, for Kim Chae-Yeong it seemed that something's off. She had no idea what the cause was, but her intuition told her that something's about to happen. Something big.

It felt like the whole organization was slowly bracing themselves or that something. The reapers she met in the hallways were tenser than usual. Even the air seemed different.

Kim Chae-Yeong was sure, things are about to change. The only question was when it's going to happen.

The first thing that Chae-Yeong noticed was the weird behavior from Jun-Woong. Ever since that day when she caught Jun-Woong coming out of the Director's greenhouse looking all troubled, his behavior has changed.

He was more reserved towards Chae-Yeong. Avoided coming too close to her. At first, she thought it was because of the incident that happened between them. Chae-Yeong thought that he felt offended that she stormed off like that without any explanation. But after inquiring about that, Jun-Woong assured the woman that he doesn't hold any grudges.

"You have nothing to worry about that, Ms. Kim, everything's fine. We all have our moments."

Chae-Yeong was left confused, but she didn't question him further. Although it felt off. The way he told that, his actions. All those details confused her mind so much that all Chae-Yeong was left to do was just leave it like that.

Now the only thing that was left unsolved was her argument with Joong-Gil. And for some reasons Chae-Yeong suspected that it won't go as smoothly as it went with Jun-Woong.

And she was right.

All day Chae-Yeong didn't had a chance to talk to the reaper. Whenever she had a free time, Joong-Gil was somewhere collecting souls. And when he was free, Chae-Yeong had a workload to do.

She didn't miss the passing glances the reaper sent her way whenever they got a chance to be in the same room, doing their respecting jobs. But whenever Chae-Yeong intended to approach the Manager of Escort Team, he somehow disappeared from her line of sight, causing the woman to breath out in annoyance every time.

Yeah, Kim Chae-Yeong wasn't very fond of the atmosphere here in Jumadeong lately. And it only became worse.
