Chapter Seven

Lilah

I have to tell Archie about my sleeping curse.

   I don't know when the right time would be to tell him but it's a good thing the annual kingdom meeting is coming up tomorrow.

   Once a year, all of the rulers of the kingdoms and the firstborn heirs get together and discuss rules. This year the Beauty Kingdom is hosting and Mom is busy getting ready for it.

   Since Archie and I are the oldest children in our families, we'll both be there and I need to tell him tomorrow.

   "Place the roses over there, and make sure they look good," Mom orders a maid.

   "Yes, Your Majesty," the girl says and nods.

   The queen sees me as I walk into the hallway.

   "Oh, Lilah, good. Come help me taste test tomorrow's dinner. We need to impress everyone," she says so fast I could barely understand.

   "Mom, calm down. The Beauty Kingdom is lovely. The castle looks great, everything is going to be just fine," I try to calm her down.

   I know everything will be fine for the meeting but for me telling Archie about this sleeping curse?

   I just need to hope I'll be fine.

   I head to the kitchen and I already see Finn gobbling down cookies and cakes. "These are amazing," he says with his mouth full.

   I laugh and try a cookie myself.

   "So. Weird question," my younger brother says.

   Finn always asks me questions and I'm always happy to answer.

   "Would it be illegal if I dated Amelia?" he asks quietly.

   "No, of course not," I say and smile. "The Charmings are wonderful people, I know you'd be a great addition to the family." I give him a hug. "Finny has a crush," I say in a little singing voice, teasing him.

The next day goes by fast and the kingdom looks great. Beautiful pink roses cover the castle and it makes me smile. Pink's my favorite color and the roses smell amazing.

   "Mom, you've done such a wonderful job with everything," Ivy says.

   Milo's with her which is a weird sight. Usually, he'd be in some far-off kingdom fucking some girl, but I guess he finally decided to join his family. Maybe he'll try to get in one of the princesses' beds. I know Princess Snow and Princess Brielle will be here since they're inheriting their kingdoms.

   "So which princess are you eyeing tonight?" Ivy asks him jokingly.

   She and I were thinking the same thing.

   He thinks to himself and I can see he's had trouble lately. Someone broke his heart.

   "Maybe Queen Sage," he plays along.

   Mom sighs and shakes her head. She's not proud of her son but she's accepted the fact that Milo is the way he is. I'm sure Dad was the same way when he was his age.

   The Charming family is the first to arrive. I'm so excited to see Archie, but I'm also nervous. I wonder how he's going to take the news of my sleeping curse.
