It's been a few weeks since Jisung was discharged from the hospital and he noticed a few things after the first couple of days.

One. Minho had been a lot clingier. By a lot, he means initiating hugs, head pats, or shoulder massages, and it was weird. A good weird, though.

Two, Minho didn't leave his side much. He walked him to school and work every day, and he used to walk Jisung to his second job but Jisung stopped him because if either one of them needed sleep it was Minho, him being a dancer afterall. And maybe Minho was still just paranoid from the previous events that happened when Jisung was left alone but the two of them both knew very well that nothing like that could even possibly happen again. They even knocked down the abandoned hospital, for crying out loud.. So, what could it have been? He simply just doesn't know.

He does know one thing, though.. It was how much Jisung didn't mind the older being more affectionate and protective. It gave him butterflies in his tummy and a racing heart. He's never felt like that around anyone else and it's scaring him. Am I dying? Was the phrase that popped up in his mind every so often his hyung was around.

Oh, and another thing..

Getting back to school was a pain in the ass. Getting caught up on schoolwork and all that. And because once Minho convinced him to go without covering himself, he almost regretted it. Hyunjin was a fashion design major, so Minho went with him to get some of his clothes tailored so his wings could fit through while having full coverage for the rest of his body. Remember when he said he liked attention from his classmates? Well, he's rethinking ever saying that.. The stares that he got were unmatched. There wasn't a minute in the day that went by where he didn't feel eyes boring holes into his head and especially wings. But.. as time went on, people slowly got used to it, some even boldly asking to touch his wings, to which his answers would vary depending on his mood. Well, why would you want a stranger feeling you up when you're pissed off enough already?

Currently, it was the day before christmas break, and he was at his dorm with Minho. They were working on homework on their respective beds.

Jisung sighed, tapping his pencil on his notebook a few times boredly, occasionally looking up to watch Minho. He was attractive when he was focused. Like, very attractive. Jisung wonders what he looks like when he dances. He probably holds the same face. Now he wants to see Minho dance some day..

"Are you alright?" Minho said abruptly, raising his head from his laptop when he saw Jisung look at him countless times through the corner of his eyes.

"Yeah.. Well, what are you doing for Christmas break?" Jisung asked, leaning back.

"I'm gonna go to my mom's house. You?"

"I'm probably gonna go to my house.." Jisung sighed, playing with his rings, eyes trained on the metal reflecting the white sun from the window, sparkly and flickering.

"Okay." Minho sensed hesitation when Jisung spoke and waited to see if Jisung would say anything more. Confirming his suspicions, the younger spoke again.

"What are you going to do there..?"

"Uh, say hi to my family and hang out with my pets. It's probably going to be boring." Minho sighed.

"Oh, well.. you don't have anything important going on, do you?" Jisung bit his bottom lip a little. Minho raised an eyebrow, noticing his fidgeting and how his wings were droopier than usual. He still smiled neatly, because he knew what Jisung was implying. He thought about waiting until Jisung finally asked but decided to take it easy on him.

"Nope. Do you want to come?" Minho suggested. Jisung raised his head in surprise.

"I mean— If it's alright with you.."

"Why would I ask if it isn't?"

"I—I don't know." Jisung sighed and raked a hand through his hair.

"Why do you seem so nervous?" Minho finally asked, narrowing his eyes. And Jisung knew that he couldn't tell him. At least not yet. Or maybe never. How is he supposed to bring up how Minho makes him feel and to tell him to stop it because it feels weird?

"Um. I, uh, uhh.. Wait, let me think of something really quick." Jisung tapped his finger on his notebook in deep thought as Minho stared at him in disbelief. Did this boy really just admit to making up a lie? "I forgot to water my plant at home." He finally said.

"Do you really think I'd believe you now?"

"Worth a shot, I guess." Jisung shrugged and Minho rolled his eyes. He didn't press. If Jisung wanted to tell him something, he would. He was fairly confident in that fact.

"Well, we can leave any time you want. We can also go get McDonalds in the drive thru or something on the way." Minho said, dropping the topic and closing his laptop to put it in his bag. Jisung nodded and bounced excitedly.

short chapter again

gonna be honest.. looking back at my writing after having a break from it, really forces me to notice all of the mistakes and just general shit writing i did.. it is not fixable and i'm lowkey embarrassed of it--  i will still keep this book up, post the draft chapters till the end and complete it.. but if i were to post a new minsung story, potentially oneshot, would anyone be interested? i think my writing quality in general has improved 🙏 debating on that
