Hawks sighed as he finally got a chance to sit down to eat

dealing with the commission, the league and his own agency all at once, took a toll on his mental capacity

if it wasn't for his beloved intern he would surely would have blown a fuse from stress

Working with the raven just made things more entertaining and fun, a constant but always welcomed presence

the kid was slowly getting to his speed

When Aizawa wasn't hounding them on their exams hawks were sure to truly see how fast the kid could go with a good midnight flight

The avians thoughts were caught short as a buzzing noise came from his phone

With a grumble and swallowing the chicken he had been chewing he checked to see who it was

opening his burner phone he was annoyed to see the burnt emo had left him an announcement from the league

Luckily he didn't have anything in his mouth as he was surly to have chocked after reading the message

"Hey Pigion, we've received the next target for you to kill, telling you as soon as I heard as I'm sure you're quite familiar with them"

and to his utmost horror

the picture attached showed his intern, fumikage tokoyami, the same picture that had been taken when he won the tournament"

Hawks was quick to reply back

to say his answer was "No" was an understatement

a downright refusal to even harm a single feather upon his interns head,

He could tell with Dabi's typing that it had clearly ticked off the burnt demon

"when joining the league you said you'd do what you were ordered, and yet you go against the contract" Dabi texted

"to hell with the contract, Tsykoyami is not to be touched, anyone else you send I don't damm right care, but not him" Hawks replied swiftly

a moment passed before another message was received

"you've gotten too attached"

It was a clear threat, but Hawks stood his ground

"I warn you Dabi, stay away from my kid"

There was no follow-up to Hawk's warning

However, that did not say it didn't go unnoticed

(at the LOV)

"told ya he wouldn't do it" Dabi called as he threw the phone at Shigarkaki

"no matter, the boss wants the kid killed, so that's what's going to happen, with or without number 2's help," Shigaraki said with his grizzly voice

"plan B?" Dabi suggested with a twisted grin

"plan B" Shigaraki confirmed as he used all his fingers to disintegrate the phone, reducing it to a mere pile of ash

To say Hawks was more anxious and jumpy around Tokoyami would be an understatement

Perhaps the members of the public hadn't noticed, but the raven in question sure did

Tokoyami could feel the older avians' eyes always on him

it was suspicious and concerning

They were currently on patrol so Tokoyami had to keep focus on his surroundings
