"You know... it's weird. It's only been two weeks, but if anything happened to Renjun, I'd kill everyone in the room, and then myself." Jaemin moved the plastic top hat piece across the Monopoly board as Jeno stole $500 from the bank while Jaemin wasn't looking.

"Valid." Jeno nodded, sipping on his pink lemonade and tucking away his stolen loot. He laid on Renjun's lap, while Renjun rolled two dice, which fell off the board and onto the carpet.

"I still do not understand the rules of this game. Why do you like it so much, Jaemin?" Renjun huffed, not understanding the rules of Monopoly.

"No, no. I hate it." Jaemin corrected, moving Renjun's piece for him. "Jeno loves it, I just play because he doesn't have any other friends."

"Jisung and Chenle are my friends!" Jeno pouted, face resembling a puppy. Renjun giggled and petted Jeno's soft, dark hair.

"They don't count." Jaemin snorted as Jeno rolled the dice.

"Yes, they do!" Jeno argued stubbornly.

"No!"

"Yeah, they count!" Jeno argued back like a stubborn little bitch, moving the car piece towards the yellow spaces.

"They do not count if they do not play the game with you, Jeno." Renjun pointed out, snickering. Jeno stuck his tongue out as Jaemin rolled double threes.

Jaemin rolled again and Renjun petted Jeno's hair again as his turn passed, now back to Jeno.

"Yes! I got the blue spaces! Give me your fuckin' money!" Jeno cheered, getting up to do a victory dance.

Jaemin yanked him back down and rolled his eyes. "Calm down, numb nuts. You'll wake my mom."

"That woman sleeps like a rock and acts like an NPC that's only in this story for plot convenience." Jeno pointed out, again breaking the fourth wall.

"Who... who are you even talking to, dude?" Jaemin asked, bewildered and looking around for like, a camera or something. Jeno stayed silent and Renjun only changed the subject, crawling to the window to stare at the night sky.

"Those sky lights are amazing tonight, right Jeno?" Renjun's voice was full of awe and Jeno nodded, looking out of the window where Renjun's eyes lead towards the sky.

Jaemin smirked. "They're stars, not 'sky lights', baby." He expected a whine or maybe some sort of half-baked response from one of the two, but Jeno only stayed silent as Renjun's breath hitched in shock.

Renjun was quiet for a moment, and Jaemin thought that maybe something might be wrong.

"Jaemin? Did you call me... baby?" Renjun's face lit up red in a furious and embarrassing blush; he can't help it, he's a romantic little shit.

"Yeah, it's a human thing. What else would I call you?" Jaemin shrugged, packing up the Monopoly board.

"I dunno, I just thought... I think it is cute, that is all." Renjun's voice trailed off shyly and a slow smile creeped over Jaemin's face.

"Well then, baby-" Jaemin grabbed Renjun's silly little baby hands and stood up. "Let's go look at the stars. It's warm outside."

And so they sat in Jaemin's backyard, the stars twinkling above them. The only thing they could hear was each other's steady breaths and the light swishes of Renjun's fluffy tail. The gentle lighting illuminated each of their features and all of them collectively wondered for a moment if they were living in reality or some insane fever dream.

Jaemin ran inside to grab something at that moment, sliding through the glass door. A few minutes later, he brought a black and brown wooden board to the grass and dropped it, before moving it towards his backyard's fire pit.

"Jaemin? What is going on?" Renjun asked, brows furrowing in confusion. Jeno got up from his soft spot in the yard and walked towards the fire pit, but Renjun stayed laying down.

Jeno eyed the board of wood as Jaemin pulled out a lighter with a cartoon weed leaf on it. Jaemin flickered the lighter once, then twice.

Jeno realized as the lighter was thrown into the bonfire pit that the board wasn't just any board, but the very way they'd summoned Renjun.

His eyes widened. "Yo, Jaemin! What the fu-"

Smoke filled the night air and all that was heard were crackles. Embers fell on the dry grass and honestly should have started a fire, but it didn't. Because this is fiction.

"You burned the Ouija board." Jeno's voice was quiet, fading into the night air.

All three of them were silent for a few moments, nobody knowing what to say. Nobody knew what to ask.

"No, but like... can you guys believe that it's only been two weeks since all of this started. It feels like eternity. I love you both." Jaemin blubbered like an idiot, mouth running faster than his brain. Jeno rolled his eyes and held Jaemin closer.

"Ugh. Stop rambling, you sound like Mark." He reminded. Jaemin making a fake gagging noise at that.

"What was burning the board supposed to even accomplish?" Renjun asked quietly, raising an eyebrow.

Jaemin stared forward at the fence and shrugged, eyes glued onto the burning pile of cursed wood in the fire pit. "I don't know. Symbolism or something."

"Wouldn't it have been more symbolic if Renjun burned the board?" Jeno suggested, holding both of his boyfriends' hands.

"Oh."

"It does not matter. The board is gone, and that is okay." Renjun rolled his eyes, hugging Jaemin and Jeno with his short arms. "I am not going back. Ever. Because I belong here with you idiots."

This is where they belonged.

Together.
