I told him how I was so naive to the situation, and that I was no help, only dead weight. I was just there, I did nothing to help, and, and... ugh, explaining feeling in your head isn't an excellent method, at least for me.

"That's not true! You might not have helped in that situation, but you've helped in many others."

"Name one situation."

"..."

"See!"

"Just because I can't name one doesn't mean that I am lying to you. I'm not the best with memory, okay!" He sheepishly yelled, covering his face after. "But seriously, Daisy, you're not a waste of space. If you weren't here I'd still be a nothing to everyone around me. The others wouldn't consider the options and freedom we have now because of you. The others have many thoughts and reasons why you are not a pile of waste!"

I looked to the floor, am I really useful? I twirled my hair on my finger, thinking it over. My self-knowledge was far but low, what was my real purpose in life? Just to spend the rest of my life in the sky, in war?

"But what happens when my usefulness runs out?" I asked, grabbing the smush mellow near me.

"Even if that did happen, which I don't think will, everyone will have your back, you had ours! Also, Daisy, you're a kid, six, right?" He asked, and I nodded. Where was he going with this? "You should not think about this so suddenly, none of the events that had happened today were not your fault. It was a lab experiment that had gone wrong, not your fault. You should be worrying about school or... well not school, but y'know, kid stuff."

Yeah, school, bullies, yelling teachers, long halls... get that out of your head, I inhaled, looking back up at Steve. "Well, my childhood was taken from me, why should I try and get it back when I've been doing that for months already?" I hugged my knees, "thinking about what it could have been if my mother was still here."

"Well, think about it."

Think about it? My mother calling me downstairs and playing our favorite games together. But then, would I have ever met them? The Cybertronians? Would I have bigger adventures or none? This was the fate I was chosen to have, and I have been loving it, why shut it down now?

"What did you see?" He asked.

"I saw a simple life... I wouldn't have met you guys, would I?" I mumbled, looking somewhere else again. "I guess your right, I shouldn't focus on the negative and think about the positive thing I have." I smiled up at him, "Thank up are cheering me up..." I laughed. I just remembered something just now, "Hey uh, Steve?"

"Yes?"

"Where were you during the attack?" I asked, raising a brow when he didn't respond. "Steve?"

"I, uh, I'm not allowed to tell you, but, uh, don't tell anyone that I told you. Okay?" He sputtered, looking away shamefully. I nodded slowly, wondering why it needed to be a secret. "They, uh, kinda, used me as a, um test subject? Is that the way I should say it?"

"They what?!"

"Um, they, tried to make an antidote, and used me as the, uh, what's it called?"

"A lab rat? A subject?"

"Those words work, they got one to, well, um, suck my Energon, and uh got the results they want, I'm just still really weak because of it. The mark it left hasn't left either..."

"Why didn't they grab one of the already infected zombies?!" I yelled, frustrated with whoever this was.

"Because they wanted an already secured one, not one that can easily bite and infect them." He sighed, uncovering a large bite mark. The pain must have been immense. Just watching an unknown soldier get bitten was horrifying, but watching him be bitten? The image isn't rainbows and a sun with a face.

"Who were 'they,' Steve?"

"It isn't anyone you know, I can't tell you the serial number, but I can tell you the vehicon has a want for science." He said, covering the large scar on his forearm. "Well, I will leave you to your thoughts, but you need to pretend you know NOTHING about this." He got up and walked out.

My face grew a shadow, I looked toward the ground. I hummed. Was he thinking I was going to let this topic, let this vehicon get away with what it's done?

I walked through the halls, not the usual skip in my step. Why would his own brother, or another like him do this to him? He had not done a thing, he was a picked-on vehicon, and you wanted to hurt him like that? That could have been the end of my friendship, I would have thought he left me, but he was used as a use for science.

The door in front opened, and I walked up to Soundwave's pede, tapping it lightly. He looked down into my dull eyes, "Soundwave, I need your help..."
