"We've put 24hrs surveillance on The Agency. Hopefully, they'll return and we can catch them."
"When we bring them in, what are we asking?" Asked Kim.
"A lot of questions. The Girls want to kill The Agency, so clearly they are bad."
"The Girls are also controlled and fed lies." I explained.
"We've go a case to sort through, so we need to drop this for now." Explained Hank.
"What's the case?"
"A young boy, Michael Jones has gone missing from his home. I want Taylor and Jay to go and talk to the parents."
"On it, Sarge." We both said before we walked out.
The neighbourhood we were in was rough. There were rows and rows of white wooden houses with ragged chairs on the porches. A few guys gathered on the corners chatting and most likely dealing.
"What are we?" Asked Jay as he turned into the parent's driveway.
"Police." I said through laughter.
"I mean you and me. Are we an us?"
"I want to be but I can't, not until I tell you everything."
"I've told you before, there is nothing you could say that would push me away."
"Okay." I responded as I hopped out.
"You don't trust me."
"I do trust you but I've seen it before."
Before Jay could say anything else, I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. The door swung wide open and there stood a rough looking lady. A flannel shirt was draped over her shoulders and she wore a white vest top that had plenty of dirt stains across it.
"Hello Ma'am. We are here to talk about Michael."
"I ain't got nothing to say to you." She snapped back as she went to slam the door.
Jay put his foot in the way so she couldn't slam it and then looked past her.
"Who's that?" He asked.
"My husban'." She said with a thick southern accent.
"May we talk to him?"
"Jimmy! Cops here." She said before she turned around an walked away.
"This about Michael?" He asked as he rubbed his oily hands on a cloth.
"Yes. Can you tell us about his whereabouts? Where he hangs out sometimes?"
"Listen, we ain't got nothing to say to you."
"Hang on. You have reported him missing and now you don't care where he is." Said Jay as I walked around the back.
I left him to the conversation, or should I say argument, to talk to some of the guys on the corner.
"You see anything shady?" I asked them.
"You a cop?"
"Nope." I said as I hid my badge.
"You can't fool us, miss." Said the younger guy.
"Listen, I don't want any trouble. We just need to find this boy. He could be in serious trouble."
"It's gonna cost ya." Said the older guy as he told the other two to leave.
He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt. He wore a bandana on his head to keep his long blonde hair out of his face.
"Here." I said and handed him a fifty.
