You lay on the ground with your friends, relaxing and watching the beautiful meteor shower light up the night sky.

"Wow, this is amazing to watch," Katara commented, sounding slightly breathless.

"Kind of makes you realise how insignificant we are," Sokka said.

"Eh, you've seen nothing once, you've seen it a thousand times," Toph casually dismissed. You watched as a big meteor headed for the ground, and your friends gasped in amazement.

"Oh man," Sokka said, rising to his feet. "You've never not seen anything like this."

The rest of you, minus Toph, stood up next to him. You all looked on helplessly as the meteor crashed to the ground nearby, creating a crater that caused a fire that threatened to spread to a local village.

"The fire is gonna destroy that town!" Katara realised.

Aang's face shifted into one of determination. "Not if we can stop it!"

You all got on Appa and flew towards the camp site. When you arrived, everyone but Katara jumped off.

She climbed onto Appa's head, taking the reins. "There's a creek over here. I'll bend the water onto the fire."

"Toph, let's make a trench to stop the fire from coming any closer," Aang said, turning to you. "Y/n, do you think you can hold off the flames for a few minutes?"

You nodded. "I'll try."

"What should I do?" Sokka asked as the three of you started to move off. You all paused for a moment, exchanging unsure glances.

Aang eventually pointed to the flying lemur. "Keep an eye on Momo."

"So what, I'm just a lemur sitter?" Sokka petted Momo, speaking sarcastically, "There, there, feel better?"

As Aang and Toph began to earthbend, you stood before a large section of flames and raised your hands, causing the flames to shoot upwards and stop from advancing any further. Then you slowly waved your arms and spun around and the flames followed your movements, swirling around you for a moment before you shot them into the air where they fizzled out harmlessly.

You felt a drop of liquid splash on your face, and you looked up to see Katara flying over on Appa with a large globule of water flowing behind her, using it to douse large portions of the fire.

"Sokka, stand clear!" Aang ordered as he took some water from Katara.

"Right." He picked up Momo and moved out of the way. "Staying clear, got it."

Aang began to use both water and airbending as the water expanded to put out the remaining fire. The dome of water then exploded into snow.

Aang turned to you all with a wide smile. "Good work, everybody."

Sokka emerged from a pile of snow, looking unimpressed.

. . .

The following morning, you sat with Toph and Katara at a table in an outdoor restaurant located in the town you had just saved.

Aang walked over and joined you. "These people have no idea how close they were to getting toasted last night."

"Yeah, the worst thing about being in disguise is that we don't get the hero worship anymore." Toph sighed. "I miss the love."

"Boo-hoo," Sokka said sarcastically from where he sat on a step a few feet away from you all. "Poor heroes."

"What's your problem?" Katara asked, slightly concerned. "You haven't even touched your smoked sea slug."
