Scarlett's POV------
I just pulled up to the surprise. Amelia's still wearing the heels I gave her. I can tell she hates them but she won't have to wear them in a minute.
"Come on angel" I laugh gleefully, opening Ames door. She grins and takes my hand as I lead her into the brightly colored building ahead.
Once she gets inside she lets out a little squeal. The sight of floors and walls covered in trampolines leave her speechless. I smile, knowing I made the right choice in bringing her here.
"We need to go get some grippy socks, sweetheart" I softly state, trying to pull her from her daydream. I glance around in search of the counter, but instead I spot a familiar actress COURTNEY COX ! We haven't worked together but we used to live on the same street. Her daughter Coco was probably around 6. My gosh, that was like 8 years ago. Her daughter looks so big now.
"Courtney! Coconut!" I exclaim dragging me and Amelia towards them.
"Scarlett!!!" Court grins pulling me in to a hug.
"Amelia?" She gasps, looking over my shoulder.
Amelia's POV-----
"Court!!!! Chipmunk!!!!!" I scream flinging myself into Cocos arms. I call her Chipmunk because she managed to get shit on by a chipmunk INSIDE!!!! and to top it off she knows every chipmunk song of by heart. Chipmunk is a fantastic singer. Her and her mum sing all the time.
"I can't believe you didn't call, Acorn!" Coco strops.
"I was a bit busy and it was only like three days" I retort.
"Well we can see that. How did you and Scarlett meet?" Courtney smiles, warmly. Court is like a mother to me. Me and Coco met back in England. We met horse ridding, completely by chance, and we hit it off. On the way back, I bumped into a branch and (rather comedically) three acorns, in unison, fell onto my head. Hence the god awful nickname but I guess I deserve it.
"My mum kicked me out and Scarlett caught me mid panic attack" I mumble. Courtney pulls me into a side hug. I don't expect it and get spooked. Everything tenses up. Court pulls away hastily apologizing profusely for forgetting my hatred of non consensual contact. I shake myself out of it and shrug and smile.
"It's no problem, really" I force out refraining from breaking down right there. Coco instantly pulls me aside. She's the only person I trust touching me.
"Are you alright? If you need to cry I'm here. You know what? Is it okay if I hug you?" She quickly but quietly rambles. I only nod, not trusting my voice to let out anything but a squeak. I'm rapidly encased in a familiar embrace. I only let a few tears fall before deciding to compartmentalize the rest of my sobs. I pull away from the hug.
"So how are Mckenna and Lauren? oOOooOooh I heard Shay got a new boyfriend. I need the dirty deets!" I giggle, completely 180ing the mood.
Me and Lauren dance at the same company but we met officially in 2014 on no good Nick. I played a small, supporting role but working on it was like a dream come true. I was 14 at the time and my mum thought acting would make her enough money to pay rent and buy booze so I was forced into the industry. It was worth it though. I wasn't ridiculously close with some of my other acting friends but we love to meet up. My group consists of 12 girls (including me); Lauren Lindsay Donzis, Momona Tamada, Xochitl Gomez, Mckenna Grace, Shay Rudolph, Erin Mcdonald, Gabriela (gabby) Bee, Briana (bree) Reed, Coco(chipmunk) Arquette, Darby Camp and Lilia Buckingham. As you can clearly see there's a lot of us. Me and Darby are the babies of the group because we are both only 15 still. Our group obviously can't always meet up at the same time due to the large number of us but occasionally at big events we can go out for dinner afterwards. I've only known most of them for less than 3 years and our ages vary (along with our schedules) but we feel and act like family. It's nice to have a community to fall back on even when my home life is so uncertain.
