Interrogation

Leo's pov:

It was night again, I was extremely glad when Raph told us we could go up again. "Well, what do we do now?" I had to ask, I didn't want to blindly look around for too long.

"Well, we'll check the east side of New York. We've checked so many other places that if they aren't there, he'll probably be in the Mystic City." Raph had probably been thinking about it for a while. Mikey and I slept, I thought Raph had too, but maybe I was wrong. But I didn't need to focus on that, I needed to focus on finding Donnie. 

"Let's go then." I nodded, I immediately started walking towards the east side of New York. I kept an eye out for any signs of Donnie, not wanting to waste any time. I'd focus on other things like how Raph and Mikey were doing once we either found Donnie and had taken care of him or once the sun rose again and we were stuck in the lair, waiting for the sun to rise. I just had to hope that we'd find him that day. Mikey had to practically run to keep up with me at that point, I wasn't going to waste any time waiting up for him though. I didn't care that I was being a bad older brother, I needed to be a good twin and keep him from possibly getting murdered. "There has to be something. No one just disappears without a single trace, we just aren't looking hard enough or in the right places. There has to be a clue."

"You're going way too fast, Leo, I can't keep up!" Mikey whined. "Can you wait up just a bit for me?" he seemed upset. I cared, but I cared more about finding Donnie. I was too worried.

"Would Donnie want us to slow down in order to find him? Or would he want us to hurry our shells up and find him?" I was just going to ask that and make him think about that, it was all I needed to do in order to motivate him most likely. "We don't know how dangerous the situation he's in right now is, so we need to act fast. We can't afford to waste time." Even while talking to him, I didn't stop looking or slow down at all. 

"I guess that makes sense, okay..." Mikey sighed, he didn't sound too happy with the situation. 

"Leo, what good is it gonna do to overwork Mikey?" Raph sounded upset with me. "We can't overwork him all the time and then expect him to work even harder, it's not fair."

"Then carry him again like you did last time. We're not waiting on a slower member to make them feel better about themself instead of saving Donnie." I felt like a huge jerk after saying that, but it was too late to take it back or anything like that, so I just had to act like I meant to say that. "Donnie needs us and he'd never give up on us if we needed him. He'd look as fast as possible, he'd do everything he could no matter what it took. He'd find us way faster than this, he'd have found us by now. He's better at this than we are, we just have to start acting more like him until we find him."

"Leo, that's not fair. Don't talk about Mikey like that." Raph picked up Mikey, who was clearly upset. "Donnie would also not be mean to the other brothers that were left, he'd be there for them instead."

"You don't know Donnie the way I do, you don't get it. He wouldn't give up, he'd be 'mean' if it meant saving someone." I folded my arms and huffed, I still couldn't find any signs of him anywhere. I needed my brother back, I wasn't going to pretend like any of this was fine. "He has no problem being mean sometimes, he doesn't care if he comes off as a jerk when he's being honest about what he thinks. It's one of the things that makes Donnie himself. I love him for that, he's awesome for that even if I tease him for it and stuff. So screw being normal or whatever, I don't care if I seem mean or something. I don't care what you say." Raph clearly didn't know what to say about that, he just kept quiet and continued hugging onto Mikey while walking. There was nothing, I couldn't find anything at all no matter how hard I tried.

"I don't see anything, we've been going for hours without stopping and this isn't good." Mikey looked at me. "Leo, I know you're worried, but we have to stop. I think Raph's really shaky, I don't think he's okay."
