"I'm glad that Hanazawa-kun didn't quit volleyball last year." Kiyoko thought to herself.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) is at his house, specifically in the bathroom, and is completely naked right now.
He goes inside the shower and turns the water on. He can feel the cold water on his head as he loves the coldness.
As he is washing his hair, he suddenly remembered a painful memory. He always remembered it and even have nightmares about it.
The painful memory, he remembered he almost quit volleyball after what happened in the Junior High Athletics Meet 2010.
That is the final where (Y/N)'s team failed to make it to nationals.
(Y/N) grits his teeth as he remembered it was his fault that his team couldn't reach nationals.
A year ago.
It's the Junior High Athletics Meet 2010 finals between Kousen Academy vs Chidoriyama Junior High.
The score is 24-20, it's a match point for Kousen. One more point and it's over for Chidoriyama.
(Y/N), Nishinoya, and the rest of the Chidoriyama players are getting ready for the serve of the opposing team.
The ball is now sent flying over the net, Nishinoya quickly reacted and jumps toward it.
It hit his arm and the ball is up in the air again thanks to Nishinoya.
Chidoriyama's setter tosses the ball immediately to the Ace, (Y/N) jumps, and spikes the ball as hard as he can.
There are three Kousen players to block (Y/N)'s spike. The balls hit one of the three players' hands but it bounces to his side and it went outside of the line.
A point has been earned for Chidoriyama, keeping them alive for the chance to go to nationals. The score is now 24-21.
The crowd roared after the successful spike by (Y/N), Chidoriyama's Ace.
"Nice Rolling Thunder!" (Y/N) exclaimed.
"ROLLING THUNDER!" Nishinoya has his fist up in the air out of excitement.
Both of them are very sweaty as this game is very intense and exhausting.
It's (Y/N)'s turn to serve. He is starting to get nervous because if one of his serves fails, it is over for Chidoriyama.
(Y/N) is taking deep breaths. He doesn't want the pressure to beat him. He tried to compose himself.
He now has the ball in his hand, and he is hoping that he will get to have at least three service aces.
He spins the ball as he is still having deep breaths. He then hears the whistle.
He stops spinning it, and he then tosses the ball up. He jumped and hits the ball mid-air.
After the spike from (Y/N), there is just one problem.
It's too low.
The ball landed on the net, and every Chidoriyama players' eyes widened as they realized what has just happened.
They lost.
