[3rd Person POV]
After Karasuno lost to Aoba Johsai, the Karasuno players have been training hard ever since.
As Coach wishes for more practice matches for the team, Takeda barges in with great news: Karasuno has been invited to take part in Nekoma's training camp in Tokyo.
Thanks to Coach Nekomata's invitation, the team will be able to participate in the summer training camp held by the Fukurōdani Academy Group, which holds practice matches with several other schools in the Kanto region each year, giving them more teams to play against.
It made the Karasuno players more motivated than ever since they will be going to Tokyo soon.
A day later, after Karasuno completed their training for the day, they are having a meeting.
All of the players, and so are Coach Ukai, Takeda, and Kiyoko are sitting on the floor.
"About that trip to Tokyo...For now, we're planning to have it next month. For trips like this, we'll need your permission from your guardians. I'll pass out the paperwork later. As for consent from our school, it's basically all right." Takeda announced.
As the Karasuno boys are happy to hear that, Takeda then added:
"However, as I'm sure you are aware, you have finals exams starting next month." Takeda stated.
The room became silent as Takeda is staring at Kageyama, Tanaka, Hinata, Nishinoya, and (Y/N).
"You are aware, right?" He asks those five specific players.
The five became quiet as they looked away.
"So, I think you know what I'm getting at, but if you fail any subjects, supplementary classes will be held that weekend. Which means you won't be able to go to the away games." Takeda tells the truth to them.
It was horrifying to some players on the team.
"Oh no...Surely (Y/N)-kun gets good grades, right?" Kiyoko thought to herself.
"LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, BOYS!" (Y/N) stood up and ran away with Nishinoya and Tanaka.
"Hey! There's nowhere to run!" Daichi exclaimed. "Ennoshita, grab them!"
"Got it!" Ennoshita blocks the way of the three stooges of Karasuno.
Hinata now feels screwed and says. "Fail...?! Fail...?! What counts as a failing grade...?!"
"That's your question?!" Sugawara is shocked to hear that question.
Meanwhile, Kageyama is sitting there quietly and looks defeated.
"Kageyama isn't breathing!" Yamaguchi exclaims.
Kiyoko went to a worried (Y/N) and said to him. "I'm surprised that you're struggling in your studies." Kiyoko stated while she sweat-drops.
"I barely pass, and sometimes I fail exams! Seriously, why would I need to know about sin, cos, tan, or A + B = C if I'm just gonna play Volleyball?!" (Y/N) is frustrated.
As the Tokyo dreams are being shattered, Hinata goes to Ukai and says. "Coach!"
"W-Well, this isn't something you're gonna be able to avoid as a student." Ukai stated.
"But..."
"Don't give up! You need to believe you can do it!" Coach Ukai encourages him.
"Mind over matter?! No, that's fine, please teach me!" Hinata bowed his head a bit.
"Hinata, I didn't really want to bring this up..." Karasuno's coach is really embarrassed to say this to Hinata. "But do I look like someone who got good grades?"
