"Try some cold water Brittney. I've heard if you use ice the gum comes straight out but cold water is the closest thing we have right now to ice."
"Alright I'll try it." A few moments past by,"It's not coming out!"
"Cut it."
Brittney looked at me as if she was possessed.
"Cut it. Are you joking me! No way."
"Cut it. Trust me. The rest of your hair will disguise it and cover it up." I pulled out my school scissors.
"Do have like a whole pencil case in your pockets or something?" Brittney questioned.
I shoved my scissors in Brittney's hand and giggled. Brittney just stared into blank space.
"Don't be so pathetic. Here I'll do it." I carefully snipped away at the front piece of hair, "also we better hurry, Mr Umber will be wondering where we have been."
"Oh, doesn't look to bad actually. Maybe I could cut it on the other side and shape it a bit to make curtain bangs."
"No Brittney. Don't be getting any ideas."
"Oh hey Brittney, and who's this little friend of yours huh?" Lulu questioned folding her arms.
I noticed Lulu and Ivy's reflections in the mirror-I rolled my eyes and looked down.
"Oh hiya Ivy and Lulu." Brittney turned around and smiled with confidence.
Lulu scoffed and laughed with disgust.
"What's so funny?" Brittney questioned.
"Oh my lord Brittney. Your hair. What happened. Looks like a a haircut gone wrong." Lulu brushed her finger tips through Brittney's shiny, brown hair.
My cheeks flushed red and was offended at the fact that I cut the hair. I thought I had done a pretty good job.
"Wait. Does it really look that bad. We had a bit of a problem didn't we Indigo." Brittney said.
"What sort of problem." Ivy raised her eyebrows.
"Well I had some gum in my hair and we couldn't get it out so the only other option was to cut it." Brittney said.
"Cut it! Why oh why Brittney. What will your ten boyfriends think!" Lulu said as she fixed her makeup up in the mirror, having to stand on her tippy toes to see.
"Ten boyfriends?" I gasped.
"Chill! It's a joke." Lulu smirked, "Anyway, you are indigo right?"
"Yeah."
"Would you wanna hang out with us girls at lunch?" Lulu questioned.
I looked at Brittney as I nodded my head.
What could be better! I thought. Hanging out with the popular girls.
"My hair! Girls I'm going through a life Crisis right now! What should I do!"
"It doesn't look to bad just leave it." Ivy flicked her eyes left and right.
"No brush it." Lulu rummaged around her designer handbag and pulled out a pastel, pink brush.
"No, just leave it, she looks wonderful." I said.
"Yeah I'll brush it. Give me the brush babes." Brittney grabbed the brush out of lulu's hands.
"Oh look, now its gone puffy." Brittney frowned and sighed.
"I did tell you to leave it." I smirked.
"Oh shut up Indigo." Lulu said.
"Girls. Let's not." Brittney sighed.
There was a long silence for a while.
"Girls! Girls!" Mr umber called. Me and Brittney recognised the voice.
"Yes Mr umber." We both said in unison as we rushed out of the toilets.
"Not skipping lessons are we?"
"Ummm, no sir." I mumbled.
"What's happened to your hair Brittney!" Mr umber said.
Brittney rolled her eyes.
"Okay girls. Never again but I'll let you off just this once." Mr Umber frowned.
