"Indigo, stay safe, message me to let me know where you are and when you need picking up but most importantly have fun sweetheart." Mum kissed me on the cheek and we said our goodbyes as I hurriedly opened the car door.
"Well someone's clearly excited to see there friends!" Mum chortled.
"Hi girls. Sorry I'm late." I rushed out of my mum's car.
"Oh no, don't apologise. We haven't been here long have we girls?" Ivy said.
"No. I've only just got here as well. Indigo your hair looks gorgeous with that clip in it!" Brittney said touching the clip with care.
"Thank you Brittney!"
"Isn't it from that market stall me and you were talking about a few weeks ago Indigo with that lovely women on it and she sells handmade things?" Lucy questioned.
"Yeah it is!" I said.
"Ooo, can we go! I love hair accessories." Grace said.
"Sure." I said.
"It's only up the road as well, we just turn left down that little cobbled path and the good thing is that we don't have to walk right through the busy market because it's the first stall set out as you walk down the path." Lucy said.
"Well let's go then." Ivy said.
"Well that wasn't far was it." I said, turning the corner, with my arm linked to Brittney's arm.
"Is this the stall?" Ivy questioned, pointing ahead.
"Yes." Lucy said.
"Good morning girls. Feel free to look around. Anything in that little basket at the front is one pound. Everything out here on the table is made by me." A little, wrinkly lady with a delightful smile spoke in a wonderful, soothing voice that was somewhat calming and welcoming to the soul.
"You make lipsticks!" Brittney said picking up a hot pink tube of lipstick.
"I make all sorts." The women smiled holding her hands close to her chest.
"How much?" Brittney questioned.
"Five pounds. All natural ingredients in that lipstick. Palm oil free. Plastic free. Cruelty free and vegan friendly."
"I'll take it. Do you take card."
"I'm afraid not." The woman leaned over her table and respectfully whispered.
"I'll pay for it. I have cash." I quickly said.
"Really Indigo. You don't have to." Brittney said.
"This colour will really suit you and you deserve it." I said, handing the ten pound over to the women and she handed me back a five pound.
"Girls, Pick a colour each. I'm treating all of you." I said handing the woman a twenty pound note, "and Lucy, I know you aren't a makeup sort of girl so you can get one of those crotchet animal key rings for five pounds instead if you want." I said.
Lucy picked out an adorable octopus key ring, obviously Brittney got hot pink lipstick, I chose a coral lipstick for myself, Ivy chose a cherry pink and Grace chose a deep red.
"Thank you girls!" The old woman smiled and gave us a wave as we headed for Starbucks.
"Let's get some fuel in our bodies and go to Starbucks because we need plenty of energy for shopping." Grace said jumping around. We all giggled as Lucy leaped ahead to catch up with Grace.
When we got to Starbucks, I had no idea what to order. Luckily, Lucy and Grace ordered first, and they seemed pretty clued up. Lucy ordered a double-chocolate-chip Frappuccino with strawberry syrup and cookie crumble topping, and Grace ordered an orange mango refresher drink.
When it was my turn, I just looked at the board with my mouth open wide.
"Can I help you, love?" Said the woman serving me.
"Yes..." I said. "I'll have a... strawberry frap-wrap- thingy... please."
She looked very confused. "Do you mean a strawberries and cream Frappuccino?"
All the girls burst out laughing apart from Lucy.
"Shush, girls tame yourselves." Lucy hissed which only made the others laugh even harder.
"I'm not a lion I can't tame myself, grrr." Ivy said.
"Yes that's what I meant." I said to the woman serving me.
Ivy and Brittney both ordered an iced matcha green tea latte and soon enough we were sat down at a table.
"So you're a Starbucks virgin I can tell. You struggled with pronouncing your drink." Brittney giggled.
"Yeah. I've never really been out with friends. When I go out with my mum she usually chooses to go to an old, rusty café. But I'm telling my mum to take me here everyday! This is literally heaven in a cup!" I said continuing to gulp it down.
"So how's Max?" Brittney said.
"Yeah, it's been a while since you've mentioned him. Did you like him?" Ivy questioned.
"Well big news. I kinda did something I shouldn't have." I said slowly.
"Omg spill the tea." Brittney said, leaning in.
"So I picked up a diary of his and read it. It's not like it said 'keep out' or 'secret' so technically it's fine but you should have seen what he wrote about me!" I said.
"Oh no babes. Was it bad?" Brittney questioned.
"No." I smirked.
"Omg!" Grace said.
"And to top that off, Kerry cheated on Max with one of Max's mates." I said.
"And how do you know all this?" Brittney questioned.
"From the diary." I said.
"Also, he kinda walked in on me getting changed." I said.
All of the girls squealed.
"What were you wearing when he came in the room?" Brittney questioned.
"My flare jeans and a lace bralet." I said.
"Your lucky he didn't catch you in your unicorn knickers." I heard a familiar voice come from behind me.
Ivy gulped.
I turned to see Lulu.
"Piss off lulu." Brittney rolled her eyes.
I noticed Kerry as well.
"Oh the two bitches friends are they? How sweet." I said, smirking.
Ivy gave me a nudge and winked at me with a smile.
"Oh shut up Indigo. You can't say anything, look at your clothes. Dressing like a Middle Aged mum are you with that dress?" Kerry said.
I looked Kerry up and down who was wearing a tiny blouse that stuck to her chest and showed a glimpse of waist, and a tiny skirt with her thong line showing above the skirt.
"Unless you're suggesting I should dress like a slut then I'll pass thanks." I gave a scowl as Kerry scoffed and Lulu just stood there gob smacked. Me and my friends flooded out of Starbucks and entered the mall which was opposite the road.
