As I was doing my rounds to check on my post ops, I was approached by the Chief Of Surgery. Dr Curtis.

"Dr Y/L/N, we have been invited to talk at a conference at John Hopkins Medical and I want you to represent us." She told me as I just nodded. "So will you represent us?"

"Of course." I told her. "When is it?" I asked her.

"It is Wednesday." She said. "So you will fly out tomorrow. I have your ticket details in the office. Come by after rounds and pick them up before you leave."

"Thank you so much Dr Curtis." I said with a bright smile. When she walked away, I started my rounds. In a much better mood than before. I just need to tell Lizzie.

"I hear your going to Baltimore." Colin stated as we walked to our cars after shift.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"You going to tell Lizzie?" Colin asked as me as I sighed.

"Yeah. I am going over there now." I told Colin who just smirked.

"So I guess I have the apartment all to myself then?" Colin asked as I  chuckled.

"I guess so." I laughed before getting in my car and starting my journey to Lizzie's. When I arrived, picking up some of her favourite take out on the way. I got out of the car and knocked. The door instantly opened with a peck on the lips. "I brought some dinner." I told her as I closed the door behind me, taking my shoes and coat off after she took the bag from me.

"Ooh. My favourite." She smiled over at me making me smile. "So how was work?"

"It was great." I started as I sat beside her. "I uh I have been asked to speak at this years Surgical conference at John Hopkins." I told her.

"That's in Baltimore right?" She asked me as I nodded. "When is it?"

"The conference is on Wednesday but I fly out tomorrow to get signed in." I told her. "I'll be back on Friday evening." I told her.

"So you will be home for the weekend?" She asked me.

"I will and I will be off work too." I confirmed making her smile.

"So I will have you all to myself all weekend?" She asked me with a smirk as she leaned over and placed both of our containers on the table.

"All yours sunshine." I breathed out as she leaned in.

I just nodded before she kissed me softly. Leading my by the hand up the stairs to her bathroom. Starting up the shower for us both. I held her in my arms underneath the water. Just enjoying the closeness.
