Jaylen (Jay) Soo POV:
"Ok, what do you need?" Junior asks as he leans on the bathroom sink. It's surprisingly clean in here. Well, for a boys bathroom. Cleaner than Utah's if I'm being honest, I'm still trying to process that I'm in Atlanta Georgia. I'll have to start dressing according to the weather and get used to everything that comes with it.
"Can you take me home after school?" I blurt out. Wow, that was so much easier than I expected. "You could've texted me." Junior says with an unamused face. Uhm, maybe if I had his number, then sure. Does he think I'm stupid or something? "I don't have your number." I say in a 'matter of fact' tone. If I did have his number, I would've texted. It wouldn't saved me the trouble of coming over here.
"...Right." Junior says putting his hand out for my phone. This is the second time someone has demanded my phone. "If you need anything, just text me instead of dragging me out the cafeteria." Junior says with a laugh. I send him a soft smile in return.
"I have basketball practice after school so I'd have to drop you off quick. You cool with that?" LI glance at his brown eyes, almost getting lost in them, before looking away. "Yeah. That's fine." He returns my phone with a teasing matter.
"Cool." He says looking at me.
"Cool." I say back with a smile.
As Junior leaves the bathroom, I can't help but wonder if this will become normal. Us actually getting along? I somewhat doubt it, I can't imagine us talking without arguing.
The bell rings loudly, signaling me to hurry to class. I look at my schedule seeing my next class, B208 with Mr.Hambric. AP Human Geo. If I'm being completely honest, I am complete ass at anything scientific.
And even though AP Human Geo focuses more on culture and religious stuff, I still have no understanding of it.
I leave the bathroom quickly in order to head to class.

As I enter the classroom, I meet my new teacher, he wears suspenders that don't compliment his outfit well. I see Kyah waving for me to sit with her as she reapplies lipgloss. I plop down next to her with a sigh. "Where you went?" She asks, her accent coming out heavily. You can clearly tell she's from Atlanta the way her words roll off her tongue.
I laugh as she gives me a motherly look. "Just went to talk to my ste-" I stop, once I see Junior walk in with his friends from lunch. I audibly gasp as I look over to Kyah. "What?" She says looking around the room. Why is she being so OBVIOUS.
It's like telling that one friend to not look at your crush and automatically they do. Except Kavari isn't my crush, which makes that example completely useless.
