POV:

"You need to get more friends. Only places you be at is school, here, and the gym." My dad says as I enter the kitchen. I ignore his comment, reaching for the cereal box. Everybody knows honey-nut Cheerios the shit. Healthier, and taste better.
"You don't hear me talking to you?" Damn nigga, it's seven in the morning. And we still on break, chill on me.
"I don't got no friends." I say with a shrug, pouring my milk in after the cereal.
Me and Gabby don't talk. Chris be on some weird shit, only time I even talk to him is at practice.
I don't consider anyone on the team my friend. I'm really out here friendless and hoeless. I just don't see a point in having too many friends.
I mean I have school friends, but that's different. We don't talk outside of school, making them just people I know, not actual friends.

"Go make some. Get out the house with Jaylen or something." Why is this nigga- Oh hell no.

Him and Lily tryna get dirty.

I give him a stale face. I know he not being for real.
"What? I'm just saying, you still a teenager. I'm tired of seeing y'all in this house everyday."
I cock my head to the side.

Be transparent, Pops.

"Fine. It'd be nice if y'all left so me and Lily could-"

"Okay, you ain't even gotta finish your sentence. I'll see if I can go to some party later." I say with a shrug.
I did hear some college kids are throwing a Christmas party across town, I guess I could go. I highly doubt Jaylen wants to go with me. Who wants to go to a Christmas party after Christmas? I mean, why not a New Years one? Let me hop off though. I'm the one tryna go to a Christmas party after Christmas.

"If I give you and Jaylen two hundred each, how long will y'all be out for?" Damn two hundred? He really tryna get in them guts. I don't think Jaylen would even take the money from my dad. He'd probably see it as charity if I'm being honest.
"You that desperate?" I say putting a large scoop of cereal into my mouth.

"Boy I haven't gotten no pussy since we got married because y'all always in the damn house."
Not my fault Lily ain't bussing it open all night.
"I'd rather you guys not talk about my mom's sex life so loudly. It's a little weird." Jaylen mutters out as he reaches into the fridge for orange juice.

I ain't even know he was in the kitchen with us. I mean I get it though, nobody wants to hear about their parents sex life.
"You tryna go to a party later?" I already know the answer to this question.
"No." He says, evident annoyance in his tone.

"And no Senior, I'd rather lick a cow's ass than take charity money." See, I told y'all so. And why a cow's ass? Just nasty.
"It's not charity. It's so y'all can get the hell outta my house for a day. And stop cussin."
Jaylen let's out a heavy sigh.
"I don't feel like going to a party-"
