Jaylen (Jay) Soo POV:
I was lost.
This school had three floors. And I couldn't even tell what floor I was on. I'm already bad at directions, and this school is huge for no reason. What is this, a mall? I had already picked up my schedule and map, C305 was where I needed to go, all these hallways looked the same. I couldn't find the stairs and I sure as hell wasn't going to ask for help. I'd rather suffer in silence.
While it was my first day of school for me, school for everyone else started two months ago. Everyone else already had friends, everyone knew where to go, everyone else didn't have to be lost.
While I was deep in my thoughts I managed to bump into a girl.
"Shit, I'm sorry." I say quickly.
"You good." She looks at me and notices the two papers in my hands. Either that or how lost I looked.
"Are you new? I'm Kyah." She says with a smile showing off her pink braces. She's wearing ripped jeans, and a white tube top with a pink cardigan.
Her style was.. questionable. And clearly her favorite color is pink.
I return the smile, causing her to raise her eyebrow. "I'm Jaylen, you can call me Jay. And yeah, I'm new." I say with a awkward chuckle.
"Cool, let me see your schedule, you're clearly lost,Jay." We both laugh, I hand her my schedule without hesitation.
She's pretty.
Curly hair and delicate makeup. She looks like she could be a sales model for a small business.
"You a junior? You look like a baby. Most of your classes are on the third and second floor, one outside though."
My one class outside was eighth period, Track. I'll have more of a workout going up and down the stairs, than actually running.
"We have a lot of classes together. I'm a sophomore but I want to graduate early so I usually take advanced classes. I have no classes with sophomores since our schedules are so different. And most of the Juniors think they're too 'good' for me. C'mon with me." Kyah says with a sigh.
I follow Kyah up two flights of stairs, by the time we reach the top I'm wheezing. This reminds me to never smoke.
My lungs are too weak.
Kyah laughs at my struggle. "So you don't have any friends..?" I ask trying my best to not sound rude. "I wouldn't call them friends, more like people I know. I'd never hang out with them though. You and me are friends already." Kyah says with a smile as we walk down a long hall.
Who built this school like this..? They need to turn in their architect license. As we reach class C305, I take a seat next to Kyah after meeting my teacher Mr.Caldwell. He seems cool, a little young if you ask me but who am I to judge? He's wearing a pink dress shirt, with a purple tie, with white dress pants and panda dunks..?
