Eric's P.o.V. :

"You can't be serious..." I hear Tommy telling Carlisle.

"Oh but I am...with Edward still being very badly injured from his battle with James and Jacob having mysteriously vanished; you two are the only ones who can protect and keep Isabella safe..." Carlisle then explained.

"How are we supposed to do this and keep a low profile?" I then asked, curious myself of how this could even be possible.

"Your band will be in Forks for the next few days for a series of shows, correct?" Carlisle questioned as we both nodded. "That will give me enough time to try and locate Jacob while also working to create a serum that will hopefully aid in Isabella's protection, as well..."

"...and you think this girl is just going to go along with this without any hesitation or questions?" Tommy argued.

Aside from being in The Hottest Band in the World, Tommy and I also have to hide the fact that we're a bit...different...from Gene and Paul...we're vampires.

Big surprise secret, I know...trust me, we were shocked when we found out too...

Long story short, after our transformation, we met Carlisle Cullen; a doctor and surgeon at a local hospital here in Forks, Washington.

Though like Tommy and myself, he's also a vampire and does all he can to try and keep it secret.

Edward is Carlisle's adopted son; unfortunately he suffered some brutal injuries in a battle with another vampire and has been forced into hiding until he's fully recovered.

Jacob is apparently a childhood friend of Isabella's though since the battle between Edward and James and Edward's injuries, he has also seemingly disappeared.

Some people think that being a vampire is fun or even glamorous with the abilities that you gain; I'll admit, it can be...but it's also dangerous, in a lot of ways.

There are those of us that remain on the side of blending in and choose never to harm humans and then there are the Nomadic vampires who thrive on hunting and harming humans; and James is one of those vampires.

"...I expect nothing different than Isabella to be concerned, you should prepare yourselves for a mix of emotions...it's only natural..." Carlisle then said. "...but I trust that you two can convince her of the danger she's in and the limited amount of time you have in keeping her safe..."

"No pressure, huh?" I add, knowing this isn't going to be easy.

"...you have no other choice..." Carlisle insisted. "...if James finds Isabella..." He then closed his eyes, shaking his head. "...I can't even begin to imagine..." He said, fear drawing in his brows. "...time is of the essence...we must move quickly..."

Giving a final nod, he then disappears, leaving us with the task at hand.

"Well...I guess it's up to us now..." Tommy says, looking over at me. "...what time is it?"
