Before the Storm- Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt Love Triangle

Chapter 1: The Letter

 Poppy jumps on me screaming it is time to go back to Hogwarts. Poppy is so excited she squeals. Poppy hair grew so much over the summer and she looks more mature than she did. I get up slowly and grunt. I look at myself in the mirror and see how I now look like a young woman.

"I look old," I say. Poppy giggles and looks in the mirror too.

"This year is going to be all about having fun, and making experiences. I never had a best friend unless it was a beast. We are going to all the house parties and we are going to have the best time. Make the best before we have to be adults and be boring," She jumps up and down. I pull down my dark brown hair from the bun I have it in and sigh. I told Poppy what happened with Sebastian finally and told her everything about what happened to me. Poppy promised to never speak about it and it feels nice someone else knows. Someone I can trust. I wrote Ominis and Natty as well. I picked up the last note Ominis sent me and I could tell he matured so much over the summer.

Dearest new fifth year..well not so new fifth year,

I am excited to return to Hogwarts in the next coming weeks. I am excited to have a better year than I did last year. Sebastian has tried to reach out a few times but I did not respond. I couldn't. For Anne's sake and yours. He is a toxic atmosphere but I do miss him. I do not lie. I can't wait to hear about the pet Niffler you got and how you caught him,

I have struggled in vain, I must confess. These last few months at home have been tormenting me. Anne has been staying with my parents, she is in a safe spot for now, but I am at my wit's end. I am staying in the guest house on the grounds. I promised myself I would never come back here, but here I am. Against my better judgment, I am asking you to visit me at Gaunt Manor. Please do me the honor. I really miss you.

When I read the words "I really miss you" my heart got warm and fuzzy. I smile and my face is starting to turn red. I could feel it. Poppy looks at me and raises her eyebrows at me. She runs and snags the letter out of my hand.

"I really miss you, Violet," Poppy mockingly says in her guy voice. I grab the letter from her hand and hit her on the head with it. Poppy's grandma comes in with a letter in her hands, "For you," She hands it to me and walks out. Poppy jumps backwards on her bed and squeals.

"WHO IS IT FROM," She giggles, she pauses, "Oh, let me guess. A boy with brown reddish hair and freckles his face. Also, a bad boy Slytherin," She smirks at me. I look at the handwriting to see if she is right and she is. I see the handwriting I was dreading all summer to see.

I should have reached out sooner. I am so sorry I put you through so much. Please forgive me. I am a mess. I need you to tell me everything's gonna be okay like you used to. I miss running in the forest with you and the adventures we went on. I miss....you. " I pause to process everything. I start to panic because I do not know what to say. I See a ton of scribbles of mistakes he wrote on the paper but no magic can reveal what he truly was thinking at the time so I continue with the letter. " I will never forget the kiss we shared when we found the relic, it was powerful. You will forever be my charge, Please write to me,"

I start sniffling and whipping the tears from my eyes. My heart still aches when I hear his laugh and his smile. I think about him all the time. I remember when he kissed me too and yes it was indeed powerful. He kissed me after I figured out the relic. I remember the excitement in his eyes when I told him I solved it. All I can remember is him pulling me in and kissing me. His kiss was tender and I felt loved. When he pulled away, he never brought up again till now. Poppy walks over to me and wraps her arms around me.
